THERE ARE
3 TRUTHS WE NEED
TO KNOW
1. GOD CREATED MAN
TO BE IN
RELATIONSHIP WITH
HIM AND WITH
OTHERS.
2. SATAN WORKS TO
DESTROY
RELATIONSHIPS

 Satan uses people’s words

and actions to create hurts
that strain (break down)
relationships.
 Satan successfully put
separation between God and
man.
3. JESUS CAME TO
RESTORE MAN
A. RESTORE MAN TO GOD
18
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us
to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the
ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in
Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing
their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the
word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors
for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we
implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. (2
Corinthians 5:18-20)
3. JESUS CAME TO
RESTORE MAN
B. RESTORE MAN’S IMAGE
But we all, with unveiled face,
beholding as in a mirror the glory of the
Lord, are being transformed into the
same image from glory to glory, just as
by the Spirit of the Lord.
(2 Corinthians 3:18)
3. JESUS CAME TO
RESTORE MAN

A. RESTORE MAN TO GOD

B. RESTORE MAN’S IMAGE

C. RESTORE RELATIONSHIPS
Such as: Families, Friends,
Enemies, Co-workers,
Relatives, Classmates, etc.
HOW TO BE
RESTORED
EMOTIONALLY?
1. RECEIVE GOD’S
FORGIVENESS IN CHRIST

“…God was reconciling the world to

Himself in Christ, not counting
men's sins against them.”
(2 Corinthians 5:19)
2. RELEASE FORGIVENESS
TO ALL WHO HAVE HURT
YOU
“…Forgiving each other,
just as in Christ God
forgave you.”
(Ephesians 4:32)
3. BLESS THEM
“But I tell you who hear Me: Love
your enemies, do good to those
who hate you, bless those who
curse you, pray for those who
mistreat you.”
(Luke 6:27-28)
4. FORGET THE PAST

“For I will forgive their

wickedness and will remember
their sins no more.”
(Hebrews 8:12)
5. BE RECONCILED WITH
THEM
"So if you are standing before the altar
in the Temple, offering a sacrifice to
God, and you suddenly remember that
someone has something against you,
leave your sacrifice there beside the
altar. Go and be reconciled to that
person. Then come and offer your
sacrifice to God.”
(Matthew 5:23-24)
HOW TO FORGIVE?
(ARD)
1. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your
mind the people who have hurt you.

2. Recognize that you are sinning by

holding on to wrong attitudes.

3. Decide to forgive those who hurt you

and release them to God.
BEFORE THE HEALING
AFTER THE HEALING
“This is the way to have eternal
life – TO KNOW YOU, THE
ONLY TRUE GOD, and JESUS
CHRIST, the one you sent to
earth.”
(John 17:3)
I. TO KNOW JESUS IS TO
EXPERIENCE THE
REVELATION OF THE CROSS

“My God, my God, why have you

forsaken me?”
(Matthew 27:46)
II. TO BE BIRTHED INTO THE
REVELATION OF THE CROSS

“I will pour out… on the inhabitants of Jerusalem a

spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on
Me, the one they have pierced, and they will
mourn for him as one mourns for an only child,
and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a
firstborn son.”
(Zecharaiah 12:10)
“I have been crucified with Christ
and I no longer live, but Christ lives
in me. The life I live in the body, I
live by faith in Son of God, who
loved me and gave himself for
me.”
(Galatians 2:20)
A. THE CROSS
– the Cancelled Curse

“It’s a cursed object. That is where

the worst criminals in the nation
are hanged to die.”
(Galatians 6:14; 3:13; 2:20)
B. THE CROWN OF THORNS – The
Freedom From Toil

“… cursed is the ground because of you;

through painful toil you will eat of it all
the days of your life. It will produce
thorns and thistles for you.”
(Genesis 3:17b-18a)
C. THE WHIP
– The Wound That Gave
Healing

 Isaiah 53
 v3“He was despised and rejected – a man of
sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We
turned our backs on him and looked the other
way. He was despised, and we did not care.”
 v4“Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was
our sorrows that weighed him down. And we
thought his troubles were a punishment from
God, a punishment for his own sins!”
 v5“But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed
for our sins. He was beaten so we could be
whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.”
D. THE NAILS
1. The First Nail in one of His hands – Free from
Guilt.
2. The Second nail
– Cancelled Argument.
3. The Third Nail on His Feet
– Victory over Oppression.
E. THE SPEAR
– Inner Healing

 Jesus suffered so much anguish

on the cross that his heart
exploded.
“…and without the shedding
of blood there is no
forgiveness.”
(Hebrews 9:22b).
