GIVING

Matthew 5:45
For he gives his sunlight to both
the evil and the good,
and he sends rain on the just
and the unjust alike.
2 Corinthians 9:10-15 NIV
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and
increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You
will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and
through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you
perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing
in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have
proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your
confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and
with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you,
because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his
indescribable gift!

The Four Types Of
Giving According
To The Bible
The Four Types Of Giving According To The Bible
Tithe - is a specific amount (10% of your income) that you give
first. (Leviticus 27:30)
₱ 10 = ₱ 1
₱ 100 = ₱10
₱ 1,000 = ₱ 100
₱ 10,000 = ₱ 1,000

Seed or Offerings - is anything extra that you give beyond that.

(1 Corinthians 9:11, Luke 6:38)

First Fruits - are usually done once a year or for every new blessing
that you receive. (Proverbs 3:9, Deuteronomy 14:22, Leviticus
23:10)
Alms-giving - Unlike those three types of giving above which you should
give to God, alms are for humankind. Your compassion and sympathy will
lead you to help the less fortunate and the needy.
Conclusion
Everyone of us has a seed to sow. We are not empty handed.
Through giving God is enabling us to reach out and spread the
Gospel.
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to bless you abundantly,
so that in all things at all times, having all
that you need, you will abound in every
good work.
