    Two Worlds Colliding

    The backyard smells like barbeque


    He officially became a highschool graduate yesterday
    Chris and maya walk through the gate and my stomach gets all jittery
    I should be use to my two worlds colliding
    But I never know which Starr I should be

    Maya sits beside me on the lounger


    Chris squeezes his big butt between us
    The jitters ease up a bit
    Kenya and Maya look at each other
    Chris blushes
    Maya and Kenya crack up

    My two worlds just collided


    Everything's all right.

    - This found poem represents the theme of Starr’s two worlds colliding. At Seven’s
    graduation party, the Carter’s family and friends are gathered at Uncle Carlos’s house.
    When Chris and Maya show up Starr gets nervous because she doesnt know which
    version of herself to be, because her two worlds had just collided. After introducing
    Kenya to them, jokes started, and they told Kemya about the fight. Soon Starr was
    comfortable and everything was okay.
