ABSTRACT

There is no assurance of an individual safety in any aspects or settings now that

crime rates are rapidly increasing. Personal Safety Gadget Using Bluetooth Technology

and Android-Based Application enable users to easily seek for help in case of emergency

be sending alerts and location. The device can be made as a keychain or can be put inside

the pocket because of its small size and is user-friendly. The device is composed of

Arduino Nano, Bluetooth Module, Lithium Polymer Battery, Charger Booster, emergency

button and a power switch enclosed in a box made of polylactic acid. The device is paired

and connected to an android application using the Bluetooth Technology. The emergency

button of the device once triggered will send emergency alerts, records audio and send

GPS location to its emergency contacts. The device is rechargeable. The proponents

conducted an evaluation using the 7-Point criteria in a survey instrument and are

provided to be EXCELLENT after garnering an overall mean of 4.75. Overall, the

research project Personal Safety Gadget Using Bluetooth Technology and Android-Based

Application is effective and useful.
