When it all started

Maria was a young 21 years old who lived in a small town in Mexico. She wasn't allowed

to go out often. It was February of 2002 Her sisters convinced her to go to the circus because it

was in town for a couple of weeks."Ay, un muchacho que te va gustar. Es alto, moreno, y tiene el

pelo guero." (There is a guy who you are going to like. He is tall, brown-skinned, and has blond

hair). She ends up going and as a skit gets picked to be his girlfriend. The next day Maria and her

sisters go to the plaza where the circus is. They go to the circus and see a girl. They go up to her

and ask her how they live in the circus. "Deja que te ensenye mi hermano." (Let me introduce

you, my brother). Maria finds out that his name is Carlos. He tells her his whole life story.

The circus leaves and comes back after a couple of days. The circus comes back and one

of Carlos' cousins goes to the ranch Maria lived. He tells her to go to the circus because Carlos

wanted to talk to her. They started meeting up at the same place and finally figured out when

they should leave to be together. When they left someone saw them and told Maria's father

because everyone knew about the circus and who was in the circus. Maria and Carlos go back to

the ranch and gets scolded by her father. He tells her that she can either leave and never see

Carlos again or stay and never see Carlos again.

She does something that nobody would expect she would do. She left on March 10th,

2002. They had a good two months till Maria found out she was pregnant with the most

beautiful, smart, miracle of a child. Me. On January 5th, 2003 I was born, then they had 2 kids

after me. My father showed my mother around most of Mexico and the USA.

If Maria didn't go to the circus she would have never met my father and me being the

most attractive person, wouldn't have been born. You should always take any type of

opportunities just in case something life changing could happen.
