CPI
Cross Flow plate assemblies are designed to separate oil and solids from a liquid
simultaneously.
The separated oil flows into the skimmed oil through via a straight plate weir with a fixed
height setting. Through a nozzle the oil leaves the CPI unit.
Sludge cone
For collecting solids separated in the plate packs, the CPI unit will have one conical
sludge chamber. Two cone walls have an angle of 60º to the horizontal in order to
facilitate flowing/sliding of sludge to the draw off points. The cone will have a sludge draw
off nozzle fitted with a hand operated sludge draw off valve. Moreover it will have a water
flush nozzle with a hand operated butterfly isolation valve for fluidizing compacted
sludge.
Effluent chamber
Treated water flows from the separator chamber into the integral treated water outlet
chamber by means of four pipes. The vertical part of these pipes is topped by a circular,
adjustable overflow weir. By rotating a weir clock- or counter clock wise, it can be lowered
or raised. The setting of these weirs determines the water level in the CPI unit and so the
thickness of the separated floating oil layer.
