Read the story below and answer the questions that follow.

Once upon a time, there lived a poor boy named David. He lived with his mother at the
edge of a jungle. Every day, David would go into the jungle to look for food.

One day, when he was near a cave in the jungle, he saw a parrot. It had beautiful red and
green feathers. The parrot was lying on the ground and looked tired. When it saw David, it
begged for his help. It told David that a few boys had thrown stones at it and broken his wings.

David took pity on the parrot, so he took it home. He nursed the parrot back to health. After
a few weeks, the parrot was well. It thanked David and sang a song for him. David could not
believe his ears. It was the most beautiful voice he had ever heard.

The next morning, David took the parrot to the market. He sat at the corner of the market
and the parrot sang. Many people came to hear the parrot sing. They were surprised and shocked
to hear its voice. Some people even gave David money. David collected a lot of money that day.
He bought food and clothes for his mother.
