Read the passage below and answer the questions that follow.
A tourist in Penang wanted to see a historical building. He asked a man for directions.
The man said, “Walk up to the traffic lights and turn right. Go straight and turn left after crossing the
bridge. Then turn right at the third junction. When you reach a roundabout, turn left. At the petrol station, turn
left. You will see a red building. That is your destination.”
The tourist tried to follow the directions. At the traffic lights, he turned left. After crossing the bridge, he
turned right. He turned into different junctions. Finally, he did not know where he was. He had lost his way.
Then, the tourist saw a policeman on patrol near some shop houses. He went up to him and asked for
directions again. The policeman said, “Oh, it’s easy to get there. Just turn left, then right, left and right again.”
Feeling upset, the tourist lifted his hand and said quickly, “That’s enough, thank you!” He jumped into a
taxi and told the driver to take him back to his hotel.

Ai Ling participated in a school camping trip last week. It was held at the Ulu Bendul
Recreational Park in Negeri Sembilan. She was very excited as she had never been to any camps.
She wrote a journal.

Day 1:
My friends and I were divided into small groups. Each group was asked to create a
group name and song. Then, we went through an obstacle course. We had to climbed high
walls, swing on monkey rings and more. It was very challenging. At night, we had to cook our
own dinner over a campfire. I was very tired and had to sleep early.

Day 2:
It was a fun day. We got to play paintball. Everyone had to wear protective gears.
We played a game called ‘Capture the Flag’. In this game, whichever team that is able to
capture another team’s flag wins. During the game, we had to shoot the opposing team
members. I was shot a few times. It hurt but I had a lot of fun. Before we went home, we
were given some time to play in the stream. The water was cold and refreshing.
