Robest Yong and His
Invention
Robest Yong was born in Penang in
1960. He worked in an engineering
company. He thought outside the box
and invented a lot of new things.
Robest Yong noticed some toilets did not
have any washbasin. Users removed the
covers of the cisterns and washed their
hand there. This damaged the cisterns.
He also saw that in toilets which had
washbasins, people wasted the water when
they washed their hands. So, in 1980 he
invented Flush ‘N’ Wash water cisterns cover.
The Flush ‘N’ Wash water cistern cover
won an award in Malaysia. It also won
an international award in 1998.
