Introduction
Trash Wheel, Is a trash interceptor, a vessel that removes trash from
barangay Mandaragat as it empties into the Inner canals. The trash
wheel can intercept 5 kilograms/10 pounds of trash. Making the
seaside cleansed and safe for people to swim. Here, we introduce our
invention (Trash Wheel), A large garbage interceptor that works
nonstop to clean debris in Barangay Mandaragat. Inventing a fine
invention that has benefits in the community , We are willing to
show our invention and prove that it has a use for the community.
And by stopping garbage before it can reach the shore, It will be a
way to stop pollution in Barangay Mandaragat. Our Group, The
creator of the Trash Wheel, Also made an experiment to collect 10
pounds of garbage. Our invention can exceed its limit by more than
10 pounds. We got the idea for the wheel after we observed the
Barangay Mandaragat Seaside. We witnessed flowing garbage and
floating debris into the shore. We are making a way to stop this
trash before it spreads out. We did some research to see if there is
another way to collect debris. And we found manual cleaning. So we
decided to invent a trash wheel that uses the flow of water to clean
the sea. The problem we noticed isn't limited to Barangay
Mandaragat. Another term for garbage is plastic-pollution is also a

problem in our research. After realizing that the Barangay

Mandaragat has canals flowing through the sea, it is the best
position to place our invention. We started an idea on a 1 whole
sheet of paper and made a small working prototype. From there,
the wheel was set in motion. Since our invention was only made by
recycling materials we used our budget to purchase other materials,
the main material that set the trash wheel in motion Is the bike
crank. A circular part of the bike that is fit to the trash wheel. The
Trash Wheel is a simple invention. A Bike Crank (170mm) is turned
by the flowing ocean which the invention is used for by the flow of
the ocean, Net that turns a large filter and an array of gallons which
help collect floating debris onto the net as trash floats down the
shore. The trash wheel has 7 to 8 big floating gallons (10 liters)
which collect garbage that's floating in the ocean and funnels it into
the gallon of the Trash Wheel. From there it gets carried up the net
and compiled in the storage of the trash wheel. We easily remove
and empty the floating dumpsters as they get full. The power for the
bike crank comes from ocean currents that make the trash wheel
functioning, but the Trash Wheels are also outfitted with other
materials and lack budget. For times when the ocean is at low tide,
the trash wheel won’t work. We're able to test our invention with a
prototype machine, then observe the wheel turning and gobbling
garbage at the ocean nonstop. The Trash Wheel also has disposable
storage; we will record a video and we can see what's going to
happen on the trash wheel and take action if needed. After
designing our concept, we decided where we could place the trash
wheel, and the seaside was the best place for our invention. We
actually need the help of other people for this project, which put up
money to develop and refine our invented Trash Wheel concept.
After much trial and error and days of testing our invention and
building it in Rudge’s place. And place it in the seaside of barangay
Mandaragat. Once our invention was operational, and had benefits
to the community, we noticed the immediate improvement in the
Barangay Mandaragat’s pollution levels and upgraded it to make the
wheel a permanent fixture. The recycled materials we use for our
invention are very useful and convenient.. Then our invention

successfully functioned and began much bigger research about our

invention to produce more Trash Wheels and install them in other
areas of Barangay Mandaragat. We are the inventors of the
alternative machine debris collector called the trash wheel. Which
aims to make the Barangay Mandaragat neat and pollution free, as
well as other canals near the seaside and projects to improve the
environment. We say that our trash Wheel has impacted the
Barangay Mandaragat in ways that we could never have imagined
and has delivered valuable data about where all the trash comes
from. We have evidence of every debris and garbage we've pulled out
of the seaside over the past several weeks, with an estimate of
different types of trash that was in the storage of our invention
trash wheel . We know that we've pulled out over 10 pounds of
garbage from the Barangay Mandaragat seaside, and that's the sort
of information we gathered, video and photos that we show with our
groupmates to let them know just how big of a problem this is.

Statement of the Problem

 For the residents of barangay mandaragat this research will
benefit clean and neat sea of mandaragat and people can swim
and enjoy the sea because of our invention.
 Trash wheel cannot be used at any time because when the tide
is low there is no current and the trash wheel cannot work
properly.

Hypothesis

1. Ha: High chance of collecting debris when high

tide.

H0: Low chance of collecting debris in low tide.

2.

Ha: Trash Wheel can attempt to intercept and collect

10 pounds of garbage.

H0: More than 15 pounds is a risk for the Trash

Wheel.

Significance of the study

The findings In this study will redound to the benefit
of society.We are inventing a prototype invention for
people who live near the sea,for them to be able to
swim in the sea because of this machine called "Trash
Wheel" which can collect all debris in the sea. This
allows the sea to be cleaned up on a regular and
systematic basis without the need for many cleaning
staff, and we will take this opportunity to show how
this trash wheel works and if it is convenient.

Background
The object of this paper is, to study, analyze and investigate the
main contributor of plastic pollution which has become the world's
most infamous problem nowadays, and to explain platform design
which aims to help reduce trash issues. This OF Floating
