MACHINE DESIGN 2021

A. Eligibility
1. Machine Design 2021 is open for all JPSME Cavite Chapter members.
2. Participants must be registered to the General Assembly: Make it Happen

B. Guidelines
1. Each campus must have one (1) team consists of five (5) members.
2. Each team must design a low-cost functional machine.
3. Each team must utilize at most ten (10) materials; 6 general materials and 4 materials of
the team’s choice.

General Materials:
a. Steel
b. Plastic
c. Rope/Yarn/Straws
d. Wood
e. Rubber
f. DC Motor

4. The teams shall strictly follow the rules for documentation.

C. Registration

2. Participants must complete the following information in the given registration link:
 Email
 Full Name
 School
 Address

D. Documentation
 Each team must record their progress from raw materials to finished product.
 A 3-minute to 5-minute documentation video must be submitted eight (8) days prior to the
event.
 A 3-minute to 5-minute final entry video must be submitted five (5) days prior to the
event.
 Each team must send a picture of their final design.

E. Final Video

 Each team must have an introductory for about 30 seconds.

 Each team must record their machine designs and follow the sequence provided:
 Teams must show the over-all look of their machine.
 Teams must demonstrate the functionality of their machine.

F. Criteria for Judging

Functionality 50%
Creativity 25%
Presentation 15%
Aesthetics 10%
Total 100%
