FAKTA KOMUNIKASI

Professor Albert Mehrabian menjadi pionir dalam memahami

komunikasi sejak tahun 1960an. Dia menerima gelar Doktor dan
mengembangkan statistik klasik mengenai efektivitas
pengucapan komunikasi sebagai berikut:

Action speaks louder than word - Anonymous

Teori Komunikasi Mehribian
Komunikasi adalah:
7% WORDS – Kata-kata

38% TONALITY – Modulasi suara

55% PHYSIOLOGY – Fisiologi

Rapport
adalah proses pencocokan (matching) atau
pencerminan (mirroring) untuk
mendapatkan respon positif sehingga lawan
bicara dapat menerima saran (sugestion),
tanpa terbantahkan !

Pacing = matching+mirroring
Teknik Pendekatan

The Magical Bridge To Persuasion

Rapport merupakan fondasi utama dalam seni

komunikasi, dan merupakan gerbang untuk memulai
“persuasion”.
Rapport merupakan ikatan atau koneksi yang bersifat
psikis, bahkan dalam tahapan tertentu dapat
meningkat berupa koneksi “telephatic”.
Filosofi yang mendasari Rapport adalah : (1). Kita
menyukai mereka yang menyukai kita (2). Kita
menyukai mereka yang mirip dengan kita dan
mengikuti kita.
Rapport mirip dengan fenomena “Light Trance” dalam
Hypnosis, dimana sugesti cenderung lebih mudah
masuk ke pikiran bawah sadar.

23
Mirroring adalah suatu teknik untuk membangun Rapport terhadap lawan
komunikasi, dengan cara meniru bahasa tubuhnya. Mirroring akan
membuat lawan komunikasi secara Uncounscious merasa bahwa “anda
adalah saya”.

• Presuppositions

– RECOGNIZE: You can recognize the

assumptions of your clients’ speech.
– UTILIZE: Use presuppositions to directly
affect someone’s internal representations.
• It doesn’t matter if the presuppositions are
positive or negative the internal representation
is still the same.
E.G.: “Don’t think of a blue tree.”
39
1. No matter what you think you are,
you are always more than that.
2. Reality is a construction.
3. Reality and meaning are created
through relationships.
4. Living is learning.
5. Perception is learned.
6. Everything and everyone is
interconnected.
