AVID Student Success Reflection

AVID 11 Writing Prompt

Dear The BCHS School Site Council,


As I get closer and closer to being a senior, I realize that I’ve been so successful because of
AVID. This year i’ve been able to get my license, keep an A in a college class along with my
highschool classes, and keep up will my sports. Somehow I manage to focus on school. It isn't
easy but AVID helps greatly. I’ve learned how helpful cornell notes actually are. Most of my
friends who have already graduated constantly tell me how helpful cornell note taking is in
college. Other’s who weren’t in AVID tell me that they wish they were as skilled in note taking
like AVID students. I feel that I definitely have improved in collaborating with others. So much
that I’ve decided to run for Athletic Director and be in leadership. I plan on overcoming my
procrastination. There is no room for procrastination in college so I really need to improve in that
area. I am just ecstatic for what the future has to offer. And I know that my continuance in AVID
will help make my future in college better.
