What is the blastula?

- Most animals use sexual reproduction because it gives variation

What does meiosis create? - Meiosis creates variation through crossing over.

What is the gastrula?

- After ovulation (release of the egg), the remainder of the follicle forms
the corpus luteum

- The corpus luteum gives off progesterone and estrogen

The male reproductive has external organs. The testes in the scrotum make the gamete. The female
reproductive system is made up of internal organs. The female gamete is made in the ovaries. But monthly, the
ovum travels through the fallopian tubes to the uterus.
