Mobile calls VS Messaging

The mobile industry has been improving dramatically since the first ever mobile phone

was invented in 1973, March 10th. At that time not, a lot of people were using mobile phones,

but now almost everyone from age 12 to 80 has mobile phones. As technology has improved so

has communication through telephones. There are two different types of communications

through phones, one is the basic phone calls and another one is texting.

Texting is a worldwide communication source. Its benefits people economically because

it is very cheap. As for the mobile phones, it is very expensive. Also, while you text you can see

if the person read your text or did not. Phone calls on the other hand usually cannot be recorded

or you can’t see if the person is online or not. Meanwhile, in messaging, you can take as much

time as you want to check for accuracy in your text. While in calling you frequently need to

answer straight away.

Secondly in mobile calls is very good to use to pass on emergencies. Also, through direct

communication a great way to really connect with the other person. While texting it is usually

the opposite. Additionally, people’s response could be rapid to the caller, unlike texting were

people can answer in a long time. Also, direct communications have barely any

misunderstandings. For the reason that if someone has trouble hearing what one said they could

just ask to repeat what he or she had spoken. Phone calls also allow people like family to connect

through each other’s voices and understand another’s feelings and emotions. While in the text

you can really feel or connect.

Some of the problems in texting could be, slang which is generally used by kids and

teens. For example, “ikr” is a shortened version of I know right or “lol” which means laugh out

loud. These abbreviations are usually not used when you talk with a person on the phone. In

messaging it is very time-consuming because of how many words you need to type and on top of

that autocorrect can also be an irritation. On the other hand, on phone calls, you can’t really

make mistakes and it is not as time-consuming.

Finally, communicating is very outgoing and has dramatically improved. Communication

through calls and texts both use of languages. They use language even if they think they are not.

For example, words and abbreviations are language and even sending pictures and/or sending

phone calls. Another huge similarity is their function and the purpose which is communication

which you do all the time. Another major similarity is that they both use the same product like

cell phones, laptops, iPad's etc.

In conclusion, this has proved that both messaging and calling are a great method of

communication that is used all around the world. They both have similarities and some

differences. Both of them had improved rapidly over the years and taken over humanity.

They are used to socialize through phones. They have different characteristics and features which

is what makes them great. Overall, I think both are equally good and can satisfy people with their

own needs. They are a large part of technology and its improvement. So, it is up to you which

one is better.
