The rock

The tiny naturally shaped rock pressed

Down on the tall fresh green grass.
They tried to stand up against the resistance,
But all of the work was in vain.
They thought the challenge was supposed to make them stronger
Yet, they are just wasting their time and strength.
After they put all of their effort in pushing that rock away,
All they got was another rock waiting to be pushed.
If they spend more time talking to the worms in the soil,
If they spend more time learning how to predict the pattern of the rain,
If they spend more time discovering the ground they live in,
They could’ve been greener, smarter, stronger.
