EXT. URBAN BACK ALLY-DAWN
 
A hooded figure crouching down at a door, picking the lock
of a back door. The figure looks over their shoulder-
revealing a girl- to check for anyone watching.
 
 
NEWS PRESENTER
.....another officer found dead
this morning. Detective Jason
Hunter was found in dead in his
home by another officer.
 
 
 
INT. BEDROOM
 
A young man dressed in a scruffy shirt with a lose tie is
listening to the broadcast, holding a police badge in his
hand
 
NEWS PRESENTER
Sources have confirmed this murder
was the work of 'The Red Wolf',
the serial killer who has been
targeting police officers and
lawyers since his first appearance
4 months ago.
 
 
EXT. URBAN BACK ALLY-
 
The girl finishes picking the lock. A click can be heard as
the door unlocks. She then looks at her phone, showing a
message from a contact named 'Blue'
 
BLUE
(text)
It's all clear, your good to go
 
The girl then opens the door and enters the house
 
 
INT.BEDROOM
 
The young man then pockets the police badge, grabs his
phone, a pair of car keys and puts on an over coat
 2.

NEWS PRESENTER
With this being the 3rd major
death this month, the police are
conducting a city wide search
beginning tomorrow. The Captain
issued this following statement
 
CAPTAIN
This has gone on far too long.
Starting tomorrow we will be
conducting a door to door search
of Carlisle. We are going to find
the Red Wolf and are asking that
anyone who has any information
comes forward as soon as possible.
Our number one priority is to
catch the man responsible for
these murders and ensure the
public's safety. The man who has
committed these crimes is very
dangerous and under no
circumstances should be
approached.
 
 
LOC.EXT WOODLAND-MIDDAY
 
 
A car is slowly pulling up a track and comes to a stop.
Eric Hunter is sat at the driver seat. Hunter exits the car
and then opens a text conversation, showing a picture of a
wooden cabin.
 
He then looks in front of him, showing the same cabin. He
closes the picture showing the message is from a contact
named 'Blue'.
 
Under the picture is what appears to be instructions
reading
 
BLUE
(in text)
Go to the cabin. Make sure you're
alone. Red will be there. Use the
phrase 'Blue Rose' so they know
it's you.
 
Hunter pockets his phone approaching the cabin. He notices
what appears to be a trail of breadcrumbs leading into the
wood. He shakes his head slightly in disbelief before
knocking on the the door.
 
The door opens slightly,the person behind the door hidden.

VOICE
What do you want?
 
The voice is distorted
 
HUNTER
I'm looking for Red. I was told I
could find him here
 
VOICE
I don't know what your talking
about, there's no 'Red' here
 
The door starts to close
 
HUNTER
Wait wait..Blue Rose. I know about
the Wolf
 
The door pauses for a second, before hastily closing. it
then reopens, a hand reaching out and pulling Hunter in.
 
As Hunter is dragged in, the figure quickly locks the door
behind him. The figure then tuns to face him, showing a
mask is covering their face
 
The person then removes the mask and pulls down the hood,
revealing a girl
 
GIRL
Wow, you have no idea how hot this
thing gets
 
She then tosses the mask aside
 
 
CUTS TO HUNTER
SITTING AT THE
TABLE:
 
Hunter is sitting at the table, the girl pouring a mug of
coffee and offers him some biscuits
 
GIRL (CONT'D)
Gingerbread?
 
Hinter takes a piece
 
HUNTER
Thanks. So, this isn't there i was
expecting to find you. I was more
expecting a run down dive in the
city

The girl sits opposite him
 
GIRL
Your right there. Normally you can
find me in a dive. This is my
grandmothers place-my refuge
 
HUNTER
So. What can you tell me about the
Wolf? (pauses) How about you start
by telling me about yourself?
 
The suddenly lights up as if she's been forgetting
something
 
GIRL
Oh. Right! Yeah! My names Ruby, I
love my grandmother. I like a good
time, I like a laugh, I like doing
things I shouldn't do.......Most
of the time that gets me in
trouble
 
HUNTER
How about trouble that might
relegated to the murders
 
Ruby then seemingly freezes
 
HUNTER (CONT'D)
What do you know Ruby?
 
Ruby deflates, looking at her coffee mug
 
RUBY
Well, I didn't do them. You don't
think I did them, do you?
 
She looks hard at Hunter
 
RUBY (CONT'D)
(relieved)
No. You don't.
 
HUNTER
I don't, but I wouldn't be here if
i didn't know there was a
connection. Help me out here Ruby.
I've got a trail of bodies, my
father being one of them, all
leading back to you.

Ruby seems to freeze up, averting her gaze again. Hunter
then glances around the room before noticing a bowl of
apples on the side.
 
He gets up and goes towards the bowl, then picks up an
apple, inspecting it
 
HUNTER (CONT'D)
Hey, this one looks pretty good
 
RUBY
Oh yeah, some old lady gave me
that one actually
 
Hunter looks at the apple suspiciously, before putting it
back wiping his hand on his jeans. Ruby then takes a deep
breath
 
RUBY (CONT'D)
All my life, my grandmother was
one of the strongest, most
independent people I'd ever known.
Until 2 months ago. She.....she
had a stroke.She needed
specialised care, the care come
she was in did't supply it. Seeing
her like that, I just couldn't
bare it. That's when....'he'
approached me
 
HUNTER
Wolf.
 
RUBY
Now, Grandma's in a private care
home, getting the best treatment.
 
HUNTER
So he's paying for her to stay
there
 
Ruby nods
 
RUBY
As long as i keep working for him.
He needed someone to clean up his
mess
 
HUNTER
What do you do fir him, Ruby?
 
RUBY
Tie up lose ends
 6.

A noise can be heard in the distant, it sounds like a howl.
Hunter then looks out the window and see's a silhouette of
some canine looking figure and begins to feel unnerved
 
HUNTER
What do you mean tie up-
 
At that moments Ruby's phone rings. It's an unknown number
Ruby picks up the phone and answers it.
 
RUBY
Hello?
 
WOLF
(Through phone)
Good evening Ruby. I hope I'm not
interrupting anything.
 
 
INT. DARK ROOM
 
A figure is sitting at a desk, his back turned. He has a
phone to his ear
 
WOLF
I'd be correct in assuming our
friend Eric Hunter is with you?
 
 
INT. CABIN
 
Ruby looks at Hunter, who's still fixated on the window.
Another howl can be heard, this time louder
 
RUBY
Yes. He is.
 
WOLF
(Through Phone)
I suspected as much. Just like his
father, he didn't now when to stop
digging. I admire that.
 
 
INT: DARK ROOM
 
WOLF
Keep him where he his. I will be
there shortly.
 
Wolf then puts the phone down. He pulls on a pair of
surgical gloves.

INT: CABIN
 
Ruby slowly puts the phone down. She then looks at Hunter.
 
RUBY
You need to leave. Now.
 
Hunter finally takes his eyes off the window and looks back
at her, waling towards her
 
HUNTER
That was him, wasn't it
 
RUBY
You need to leave. Now.
 
She repeats what she said. But theres more of an edge to
her voice
 
HUNTER
Ruby, what do you do for him?
 
Ruby then grabs him by the shoulders
 
RUBY
Please. You need to go. Now!
 
Hunter then slowly backs away towards the door. He likes at
her in shock. He then heat another howl. The one very close
 
HUNTER
He isn't the only big bad wolf, is
Ruby?
 
Ruby looks at him
 
RUBY
Hunter, you need to leave NOW!
 
She then turns her back
 
RUBY (CONT'D)
I have one last job to do now I
know Grandmas care is taken care
of.
 
HUNTER
Your going to go after-
 
Ruby than grabs his shoulders again
 8.

RUBY
I'm sorry about your dad, and I'm
sorry that you got dragged into
all this. Now please, let me walk
you back to the car
 
The two then exit the cabin Ruby reading Hunter to the car.
Once they reach it, she turns to him, taking his hand in
hers
 
RUBY (CONT'D)
Goodbye Eric Hunter. Stay safe.
Don't leave the car till your back
in the city
 
Hunter then gets in the car, locking the doors. He drives
off, breathing heavily, near terrified of what he just
uncovered.
 
Ruby watches the car leave, before hearing a low growl. She
then turns to the tree line
 
RUBY (CONT'D)
Come on boys. I need your help.
One last time
 
One final howl is heard. This one being the loudest yet
