Journal:
In order to finish this paper, I incorporated many of the practices that I’ve learned by

myself as well as learned from many of my peers. I began to use time-lapse to record myself in

order to keep myself from becoming distracted by my phone. I also wrote out a schedule for each

day, including the work that I had to complete, and made sure that I set at least an hour to work

on my paper. I also made sure to include breaks in my schedule to make sure I wouldn’t be

exhausted by the time I got to my last few assignments as well as to ensure that the work I put

into my paper would be the absolute best. In order to keep my why nearby, I made a list of

reasons why I wanted to take this class and wanted to write this paper. I wanted to prove myself

to my parents, that I wasn’t simply “just a kid” and that I have the skills necessary to write a

research paper. Another reason why I wanted to take IR was and write this research paper was

because I wanted to gain skills and experience on the research process. As I am looking to go

into a STEM field, it is going to require a lot of research, and I wanted to be able experience the

process earlier and become familiar with it. And lastly, I wanted to accomplish something big.

Since I have a passion in computer science and coding, I wanted to also prove to myself that I am

fully capable of succeeding in this class.
