Abstract

Through out time companies can develop a brand name by using marketing and

advertisements. They rely on emotions, ethics, and logistics to keep a symbol in your mind. They

also use colors and aesthetics to reinforce the thoughts that are brought up through the

advertisements. The brand Old Spice uses commercials such as “Running on Empty” to sway the

audience in to trying their new products. By using the rhetoric process of analysis we can view

how the emotion can interact with color to create concepts of pathos, ethos, and logos. By using

aesthetics, color psychology, and the rhetoric process the audience can view the commercial and

can evaluate how effective it is in getting its message across to the audience. To generate the

main ideas the commercial portrays color psychology while using heavy pathos during the whole

commercial.
