JSSK and SWEA Julfest - Dec 11th 2005 at the Kobe Club

This year the annual format of Lucia was changed to a Swedish Julfest (Christmas Party) due to the fact that too few Swedish children currently are living in the area, thus not
enabling a traditional Lucia procession. We co-shared successfully this event with SWEA Japan and the total turnout was close to 100 persons. Many thanks to SWEA, the
JSSK activity committee and all volunteers making this event possible.

Managing Director Hans Rhodiner greeted the guests with the traditional glögg (mulled and spiced wine) and introduced the Governor's Representative who presented a
Christmas Greeting on behalf of Governor Ido. A surprise "Lucia" procession entered with both children and parents singing Christmas carols.

Then Hans Rhodiner presented the results of the voting for the new Managing Director. Mr. Ake Nilsson, President of the SANDVIK group in Japan, will take over the
management of JSSK from January 1st 2006 as Mr.Rhodiner will not any longer have a working office in Kobe.

Following the introduction of Mr. Nilsson we enjoyed further Christmas carol singing with coffee and tea and of course servings of saffron buns and gingerbread biscuits.

Snake dance followed and all participants were dancing and singing hand in hand through the corridors of the club. Finally the children could expect Jultomten (Santa Claus)
and his entrance to the party after his long traveling journey from Sweden. All children "having been good during the year" were given candy bags from Santa.

JSSK and SWEA wishes everybody a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR
