Ray you had the unique opportunity to be a part of Australian music history
and the revolution which was “Living in the Seventies” and the journey that
followed.
What was your entry to the music industry in the early years as a musician
to the manager of Ram Jam Big Band?
The journey really begins for you from Go-Set days to being 18 the co-
founder of the Australian Entertainment Exchange.
How did you and Michael join forces?
Evans Gudinski & Associates the begins, what happened.
In 1972 you and Michael co-founded Mushroom Records, there is an old
Chinese saying “We live in interesting times”
What was the impact of Sunbury Festival on the journey?
How were the early years and how hard was it to survive and how was it
living with Michael, Molly and Renee?
In 1975 Premier Artists begins, how hard was to get Frank on board?
There are many highlights with the launch of Bombay Rock being one of
them in 1977.
Skyhooks Recording Contract?
The Mushroom Group expanded in 1979 with Frontier Touring, this was a
key addition.
During this period, you were also in partnership with Rodney de Gruchy
with several clubs including the Venue, Tramps and Ashleys.
