त भाक कर परर वप्रियवभाददनभाम म ।।

English Transliteration

ko'tibharah samarthanam kim duram vyavasayinam |

ko videshastu vidusham kah parah priyavadinam ||

English Translation

What is impossible for those who are competent? Does distance matter to those

who are industrious? Which is foreign land for the learned persons?

Who is a stranger for those who talk sweetly?

कभाममम जको तनपतण हह उसदे ककौन सस चसज असभाध्य लगतिस हह ? जको महदे नतिस हह उसदे ककौन सस दरद र असम्भव लगतिस हह ?

English Transliteration

vadanam prasadasadanam sadayam )dayam sudhamucho vacha: |

karanam paropakaranam yesham kesham na te vandya: ||

English Translation
 A person whose face is always charming/enthusiastic, his heart full of compas-sion, his speech like
'Amrut' (I think there is no equivalent word for 'Amrut' in english. Here it means sweet speech i.e.
speech which will always give pleasure to the listener) and whose work is to always help the needy
('paropkAr'), then tell me for whom such a person will not be the most respected ('vandaneeya') one?
Very small and practical points - if we are successful in imbibing these in ourselves then surely we will be
the better humans than today!
