Character Costume requirements

and estimated cost of acquiring.
Images of general costume requirements that will primarily be sourced from
CADOS’ existing wardrobe or from the actors. Special costuming
requirements that we expect will need to be made or bought.
Costumes:

Elle at Home
Most of Elle’s outfits, though all her signature pink, are comprised of commonly available items and should be able to be
sourced from existing wardrobes or for a low cost.

Special requirement outfits

Towards the opening of the show (during ‘Omigod’) Elle has a very quick costume change from one dress to another. This will
be achieved using magnets in the outside dress which pulls off easily, quietly, and quickly revealing the second dress
underneath. Only the first dress will be anything different to usual, and the magnets needed can be bought online for under £4

Elle’s Playboy Bunny Costume

This costume may not be readily available or willingly lent by any members of the cast… but can be bought online for £15-£20
Emmett Forrest
Emmett dresses very casually throughout the show with only one smart look needed. We estimate that his costume will be able
to be sourced from the actors wardrobe, however his corduroy jacket is referenced in such a way that it would be easier to
provide a corduroy jacket than alter the line, and this can be bought and delivered from online for around £15

Brooke Wyndham
The only special costume requirements for Brooke is her prison jumpsuit for ‘Whipped into Shape’ and the following scene. The
other prisoners pictured above do not necessarily need the prison jumpsuit if this becomes a cost problem, as we only need to
see the idea of Brooke leading a workout class and so the dancers could be in workout gear as if watching her video from home.
The prison jumpsuit is an easy to find Halloween costume and can be bought for £12.

Cheer Routine
During ‘What You Want’ Elle and the Delta Nu’s perform a cheer routine. We have cheer outfits in CADOS wardrobe, however
we would like to costume Elle in a more dramatic “cheer captain” look. This could easily be achieved by adding sequins to the
pattern in the CADOS costumes and providing a marching band hat similar to the one seen above. Sequin strips can be bought
in various widths from £1 per metre, and a suitable hat would cost around £20. This idea can be played around with and we’d be
happy to use pom-poms or cheer batons to highlight Elle instead.
Kyle – the UPS guy
Kyle needs a UPS delivery costume which has previously been borrowed by amateur societies from UPS themselves! Failing this
easy solution however I have every confidence we can source a brown shirt, hat and shorts with a handmade badge for around
£20 or under.
