Week Three - Research

RESEARCH

What did you learn from your I was able to learn and develop my knowledge over my chosen
research? medium like the history of music videos and learn things like the
codes and conventions for my genre fast pace editing etc. I also
analysed different videos to get an idea of how rap videos that
have significance to my idea have been produced and how I
would incorporate them into my production.

How has the research into your target
audience helped you improve your
ideas?
RESEARCH INTO MY TARGET AUDIENCE HAS BEEN USEFUL AS I WAS
ABLE TO FURTHER MY UNDERSTANDING NOT ONLY INTO MY GENRE
BUT MEDUIM ETC AS I WAS FINDING OUT THE TYPES OF PEOPLE
W=HO ARE INTERESTED IN THIS, I WAS ABLE TO FIND THIS OUT
THROUGH A SURVEY AND PRESENTED MY RESULTS ON MY WEEBLY
TO ANALYSE THEM

How has the research into your
platform helped you improve your
ideas?
RESEARCH INTO MY PLATFORM I WANTED TO USE WAS HELPFUL
BECAUSE LIKE MY TARGET AUDIENCE I WAS ABLE TO FURTHER MY
KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE USE OF PLATFROMS AND ALSO IN MY
TARGET AUDIENCE, I DID SECONDARY RESEARCH INTO THE
FINDINGS ABOUT THE MOST POPULAR PLATFORMS AND ALSO
REINFORCED THIS WITH A SURVEY.

How has researching characters and I didn’t necessarily need to research that much into my actors as
actors helped you decide who to I knw the people I wanted to film, because my production was
cast? about race it meant that I had to film people of colour however I
did research in my content which relate to my actors.

What have you learned from your
test shoots? How will you use these
ideas in your production?
Test shoots were fun they let me practice and learn or further the
techniques I knew. I did tracking shots moving the camera
towards the actor up or down etc. ill be able to use what I’ve
practiced into my production which will show that I have learnt
those techniques.
What work do you need to complete I don’t really have any specific work to catch up on just weekly
outside of lessons to stay on track? blogs keeping to deadlines which I will do in my free time.
