Scope:
This course contains in details about Plc, scada, Vlsi, Embedded system, Hydraulics &
Pneumatics. The idea behind the training was to collect data and information
regarding Industrial Automation & process control by using different hardware and
software. So that I will able to get extensive & vigorous practical training to improve
operational skill in Electrical Engineering field. This course will help me to be
specialized in Automation & Process control field.

PROJECTS

1.“precise kilometer calculation by underground cable fault detector”

Description:
The project uses the simple concept of OHMs law where a low DC voltage is applied at the

feeder end through a series resistor. The current would vary depending upon the length of fault

of the cable in case there is a short circuit of LL or 3L or LG etc. The series resistor voltage drop

changes accordingly which is then fed to an ADC to develop precise digital data which the

programmed microcontroller would display the same in Kilo meters. The project is assembled

with a set of resistors representing cable length in KMs and fault creation is made by a set of

switches at every known KM to cross check the accuracy of the same.

2.Automated Packaging System

Description:
Packaging is a task carried out by a machine that packages filled bottles such as soft drinks,water

bottles.Traditional methods of bottle packaging involved placing bottles onto a conveyor.This

method is time consuming & expensive. Our project aims at packing bottles and provide mass

distribution with more flexible and time saving.In this project our objective is packaging of

bottles are done with a deduction mechanism using sensors,relays,limit switches. The packing

operation of bottle are controlled using a Programmable Logic Controller(PLC).This is because

PLCs are very flexible,cost effective,space efficient & reduces complexity.By programming the

PLC we control the entire system
