Goal of the lesson:


to make students familiar with neo-impressionism
to make students more aware surrounding (urban and rural landscapes characteristic
features and different interpretations)

Materials:

 White Paper or Printable Template


 Paint or Stamping Ink Pad
 Pencil with new eraser

Description of the lesson

1. If it would be possible teacher can take children for a walk to a city and a
countryside. Before the walk teacher asks children to be attentive observes and to
spot characteristic features of the city and the countryside.
If it is not possible teacher shows students a pictures of a city and a countryside.
2. Students discuss differences with the teacher [the use there is/there are construction
and comparatives bigger, smaller, etc.]
3. Teacher shows students some paintings of Georges Seurat to make them inspired
and to show them the technique that they are going to practice. Teacher explains
that these paintings are made by making dots.
4. Students can choose if they want to work on blank paper or template.
5. Teacher monitors students work and help them if they need it.
