ABSTRACT
Nutritional circumstances is defined as health circumstances generated by
the balance between the needs and input of nutrients. Nutritional circumstances of
children may be affected by the Number of Family Members, Family Economic
circumstances, Education Mother, Feeding, Parity, and Infectious Diseases.
Because at the age of brain growth and development is very rapid. Toddler brain
growth can not be optimal if continued malnutrition. As a result of thinking ability
is limited (Triaswulan, 2012).
This study aims to determine the relationship Number of Family Members
and Family Economic Circumstances Nutritional Status Of Toddler at (Kampung
Melayu Timur Teluknaga Tangerang) year 2016. This type of research is a kind of
analytic research with cross sectional design of the sample, with a sample of 96
were determined by accidental sampling technique.
Statistical analysis using chi-square test results showed that the
nutritional Circumstances of children less (62.5%), which has a large number of
family members (76.0%), which has a middle class family economic
Circumstances (85.4%). In the large majority of families (74.0%) occurred in the
nutritional Circumstances of children under five years. P value of 0.000 (p <a),
which means that statistically there is a significant relationship between the
nutritional Circumstances of children with the sheer number of family members,
and the nutritional Circumstances of children less than a majority (63.4%)
occurred in families with middle and lower economic status. By using Chi Square
test at a = 0.05 p value of 0.881 (p> a) which means that statistically there was
no significant relationship between the nutritional Circumstances of children with
mothers work at (Kampung Melayu Timur Teluknaga Tangerang) year 2016.
Expected to be more concerned about the nutritional Circumstances of
children because it is important for the future growth and pay more attention to
the intake of food consumption according to the nutritional needs of every child
under five.
