SCARSDALE MEDICAL DIET FOR 14 DAYS

BASIC RULES FOR THE SCARSDALE DIET

1. Eat exactly what is directed. Do not substitute.


2. Do not drink any alcoholic beverages.
3. Between meals you can eat only carrots and celery, but in any quantity you want.
4. The only drinks that are allowed are. water, regular coffee or caffeine-free coffee,
herbal teas, soda, diet soda.
5. Do not use sugar or honey, use artificial sweeteners.
6. Prepare all salads without oil, mayonnaise or other similar condiments. Use only
lemon or vinegar.
7. Eat vegetables without any type of fat (You can use lemon).
8. All meat must be very lean; remove all visible fat before eating. Remove skin and fat
from chicken and turkey before eating.
9. You don't have to eat everything on the list, but don't substitute or add. The indicated
combinations must be observed.
10. Never overload your stomach. When you feel satisfied, STOP!
11. Do not continue the diet for more than 14 days.
