The Thirteen Domains

The Emberfields of Anosk

The Emberfields of Anosk is a place where earth

and fire collide. Mountain ranges rise higher than
any known on the home domain. Volcanoes
erupt lava that flow down the mountains creating
rivers that wind through vast fields of cinder and
ash. The skies are dark with clouds of ash and
smoke and the air is hot and filled with noxious
gases. The domain is sparsely populated through
it is said a few great cities can be found in the
depths of the mountains and scattered
sporadically across the vast fields of embers

The Ulenn Wilds

The Ulenn Wilds are lands of untamed

wilderness. There are vast mountains ranges,
lakes and marshes. However, most of the land
is covered in towering massive forests lush in
vegetation. Weather is unpredictable at best
and violent and frenzied at its worst. Storms
are common with deafening thunder and
heavy rain and can spring up without warning
on an otherwise glorious sun filled day. The
Winters in the mountains can be particularly
harsh. The Ulenn wilds has numerous
inhabitants but few actual settled towns and cities.

The Mansions of Silence

The Mansion of Silence is home to the

demons and devils. A rocky wasteland of
black rocks with little else to adorn and
embellish it. There is the occasional
mountain and forest. However, the
mountains appear bleak and isolated and the
twisted black trees of the forests are thinly
distributed. The darkened skies rage with
storms of thunder and lightning yet no rain
falls on the land. Colossal mansions and
castles seem to meld with the rocky landscape. They are home to the arch demons and devils and in
their vaults; they house the souls of the dead. The sound of thunder is the only sound that can be

heard upon the land. No wind whistles, no birds cry and the screams of dead souls are forever
silenced.

The Lowroads of Ceth

The Lowroads of Ceth are an immense network of tunnels,

caves and caverns. Some naturally made, others made by
someone or something. There seems to be no end to the
network of tunnels and so far, evidence through exploration
suggests that the tunnels never lead to a surface world. Most
of the caves and caverns are empty with no life. Only mosses,
fungi, lichens, and the small creatures that live off them dwell
there. However other vast caverns exist with towering stone
built structures and buildings, empty and deserted, long since
abandoned by whoever created them. Tales and myths have
been told for centuries about the Lowroads' ancient and lost
civilisation. Some believe the old gods made the underground
structures and that the mazes of caverns and passageways
eventually lead to the dimension where they slumber.

Erredea, The Argent Homelands

The argent homelands of Erredea is filled

with picturesque mountains, lakes, forests
and fields. The fields are planted with crops
and orchards of a myriad of different fruits
and grains. The weather is calm, warm and
pleasant all year round. Rivers and streams
crisscross the countryside meandering
peacefully on their way to the shimmering
oceans and seas. The domain takes its name
from the splendid and breath-taking cities of
silvery white stone that embellish the serene countryside. Seven Princes rule over each city and their
surrounding land. Many believe Erredea must be a heavenly paradise because of its tranquil
landscape however one corner of the realm is shrouded in shadows. The Prince of Bones, a
necromancer, dwells within the shadowy land seeking authority over all. He is held at bay by a
delicate alliance between the other princes.
The Thirteen Domains

The Winterwilds of Drell

The Winterwilds of Drell is a seemingly

endless expanse of glaciers and mountains
swept by raging blizzards. Weather can be
highly variable, and the weather conditions
can often change dramatically in short periods
of time. When the skies are clear of
snowstorms it can be observed that the land
is in fact living in perpetual night with only the
light from the moon and the stars to guide
any traveller. Being such a harsh environment,
Drell is home to few races, however mighty
strongholds are known to exists perched impressively on rugged mountaintops. The Winterwilds of
Drell is also the home domain of the dwarves. Living deep and reclusively within the mountains,
many dwarves rarely leave their home, but some do venture into other lands.

The Storm Palaces of Nefea

Nefea is a land completely covered in a

massive mountain range. It is unknown if the
roots of the mountains descend to flat land
as this has never been reported. Nor has any
sea nor ocean. High into the peaks, palaces
and cities have been built upon giant floating
splinters of rock. Storms can rage for months
but on a clear day the majesty and beauty of
the palaces is unprecedented. It is powerful
magic that has created the impressive
spectacle. The Storm Palaces are ruled by those skilful in the art of spellcraft. A place where every
mage would wish to study. However only the greatest and most talented of the mages of our home
domain have been invited to study there.

The Labyrinths of Honn

The labyrinths of Honn was created by the deity Kius and is thought of as a domain of dreams and
visions. Not actually a physical labyrinth, but much more of a conceptual idea housing infinite
possibilities, truths and deceptions. Visions of the past and future collide with endless dreams and
deadly nightmare. All creatures who dream cross the ethereal ocean and visit pockets of the realm
on a nightly basis. Travel is possible in physical form to the domain itself through a Wyrmhole but
caution is advised as dangers untold await including the possible loss of one's own mind. The domain
itself does not have any settled features or landscapes but changes depending on who is observing
it. In the sacred text of Kalishan it states that at the centre of the domain is a tree that spans space
and time and hold the ultimate truth. To reach the tree is to know the mind of the gods.
The Thirteen Domains

The Ashen Mires

The Ashen Mires is a grey marsh land

scattered with ruins. Dead, decaying cities and
towns form a desolate landscape and
between them open expanses of bogs with
crumbling roads and hollow shells of empty
farms and homes eerily dominate the land.
The sky is ashen also and seems to blend
seamlessly with the land. A constant drizzle of
rain may turn into a downpour at any given
time. It is said that the Ashen Mires where once a fertile land of farms and forests and that the
crumbling cities where a hub of activity. Why the domain changed is still largely unknown but for
tales from the sacred text of Kalishan. These tales suggest that the gods laid waste to the land in
anger as the populace began worshiping the old gods. Whether these tales are true or not the land's
inhabitants have long since abandoned their once fruitful domain.

The Elder Sanctum

The Elder Sanctum derives its name from that fact that even in the most ancient text there are no
descriptions of the domain and no accounts of travel there. A Wyrmhole does exist, but all attempts
to enter have been barred. In fact, the only clue we have to there being another world beyond the
Wyrmhole is that great and powerful magic seeps from its core from time to time. If the ancient
dragons knew what lies beyond the Wyrmhole then they kept their knowledge hidden from the rest
of the world.

The Gardens of Tarsyss

The Gardens of Tarsyss would once have

been the most beautiful gardens ever to
behold. However, their magnificent
conservatories have become damaged and
overgrown with the branches of trees and
vines. The paths are moss covered, the
ornamental gardens are unkempt and left to
grow wild, and wall and bridges crumble. The
ravages of the weather further add to the
decay of the gardens. It's as if the owner,
once an attentive gardener has forsaken the
land. The domain is said to have been created by the deity Zanses as a refuge. The sacred text of
Kalishan suggests that Zanses left the realm when the Wyrmholes appeared and hasn't returned
since. There is an abundance of wildlife however and there is a strange haunting beauty in the
gardens' dishevelled appearance. In the middle of the gardens is an imposing building, the Library of
Tarsyss. The Library is home to numerous and vast corridors and chambers lined with rows and rows
of bookcases holding an incalculable number of book. The knowledge held within the library
The Thirteen Domains

surpasses even the libraries of the Mages of Nefea. However great wisdom and power is required to
unlock many of the secrets held within the books. The Convocation of Mages, the ruling body of
Telantri on the home domain, control the Wyrmhole to the gardens and restrict access to only those
deemed to be suitable visitors. Being Sierh to the Gardens of Tarsyss is an enviable position amongst
mages and perhaps the most sought after of all Sierhs. However, the position of Sierh to the gardens
of Tarsyss has been held within the same family for generations since its creation and bestowal upon
arguably the greatest mage in history Monthiir Tchcarith. The current Sierh is his descendant
Rumanin Tchcarith.

Morgeroth, The Baneful Wastes

Morgeroth has a large single continent

surrounded by a great ocean. Most of the
continent is covered in desert and badlands
with an expansive mountain range stretching
down from the northeast to the south of the
continent. Around the coastal regions, the main
cities and towns can be found, supported by the
abundance of natural resources within the
ocean. Cultures do exist inland, but they are sporadic as the harsh environment limits life. There are
some oases, occasional small lakes and streams, as well as creeks and rivulets descending from the
mountains, but water is generally scarce. Through volcanic activity a peninsula in the south is known
as the glasslands where lava has turned the sand to glass.

The Sullen Pits of Syris

The Sullen Pits of Syris are endless warrens of deep

chasms and pits hundreds of miles deep between sheer
rocky cliffs interconnected by stone bridges. Prisons and
torture houses are carved into the cliffs. The deep pits are
used as a dungeons of torment and suffering for the
wicked. At the very bottom of the lowest chasms and
centre of Syris is the Carnifex C astle and the Hall of
Midnight. A prison built for Mankiir, the Blasphemer, and
his followers the Carnifex.
