To our beloved CYFers,
My sincerest appreciation and warmest felicitations to the
delegates, guests, pastors, friends and all the members of the United Church
of Christ in the Philippines for the 10 th CAC-SCSDC Joint Christmas Youth
Conference! Kudos to the Host Conference Cotabato Annual Conference for
the support to this CYF gathering.
As CYFers, we all have the mission in this world and this mission is a
primordial trigger for us to work on what we believe is rightful. We work on
what we believe is true and proper.
Let us celebrate the Joint Conference 2018 with high spirit of
oneness and belongingness. Let us make this fellowship a venue for learning
experiences, touching each one’s life and making a difference in our vision of
the world.

Sessions Constant and sincere solidarity in sessions is helpful
to the progress of our activities. Record important
lessons and participate fully. Do not disturb others
during sessions or activities. Close, power off or
silent mode cellphones or other gadgets that can
interrupt your concentration during sessions or
activities.
Ministries The work is part of the ministry. Do the work group
or chores. Carry out tasks willingly and happily as if
serving the Lord.
Games Participate diligently in the games. Be involved and
exert all your efforts in every sport. Responsibly do
everything until you reach the finish line. Do not
make unacceptable actions or words against others.
Fellowship Eating together strengthens and develops friendships
that everyone needs. Be generous with each other
Meals
and do not let food be wasted. Eat all the food
prepared for you and always be thankful.
Rest Pray, lie down and sleep. Prepare yourself for
tomorrow. Wake up early, time to wake up is exactly
4:00 a.m. Wake up your sleeping roommates also as
to show unity.
Envronment Keep the environment clean, do not litter or vandal
around. Have the initiative to pick up scattered trash
or garbage to be models of good environmental
stewards of God.

Liturgist: Come! Let us be the flame that signals the Spirit’s presence in this place.
People: Let us ignite the rejoicing among the old and the young, our sons and our
daughters.

THE OFFERING OF SYMBOLS:
 Bible – You are saved by the gospel if you hold firmly to it – unless it was for
nothing that you believed. I passed on to you what I received, which is one of
the greatest importance; that Christ died for our sins as written in the
scriptures –
1 Corinthians 15: 2-3

 Cross – Then Jesus said to His disciples “If any of you want to come with me,
you must forget yourself, carry your cross and follow me. For if you want to save
your own life. You will lose it; but if you lose your life for my sake you will find it
– Matthew 16: 24-25

 Candle – You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor

Liturgist: Often times we declare to ourselves that doing Christ’s Mission so worthwhile and fruitful
enough in every manifestation of life-service. How does the revealing truth convince ourselves when
too often we have doubts to what we’ve become? Let us examine carefully the very inner sense of
our being and in silence, let us deeply reflect the questions which only the self can measure.

ASSURANCE OF GOD’S PARDON:
Minister: Repent then and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out, that time of refreshing

CONFERENCE

1. Bringing of Bible is a MUST. A delegate who has not secured a Bible must CHRISTIAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
pay a P100 fine upon registration.
2. Delegates must wear appropriate attires for the Opening and Closing
Worship.
3. Avoid wearing above-the-knee shorts or revealing dress in the entire 10TH
duration of the activity.
4. For the Cultural Night, each circuit will prepare a presentation that will CAC-
best show circuit’s culture or practices.
5. For the concert for a cause, each circuit must prepare a 3-5 minute SCSDC
JOINT
presentation (song, dance, skit, or creative movements) incorporated
with a hymn (can be contemporary-arranged or traditional) relating to
the theme: Doing Christ Mission in these Changing Times (Mark 10-45).
