Create the Local Youth Development Office; and 2. Appoint or designate the Local Youth Development Officer. ‘The Department, through the National Barangay Operations Office [NBO], is monitoring compliance of all Provinces, Cities and Municipalities on the matter. As per initial reports received and consolidated by NBOO, only 465 out of 1,715 LGUs [P/C/M] or 27% appointed or designated their respective LYD Officers. Inthis regard, all concerned are advised to remind the Local Chief Executives, within your respective jurisdiction, to comply with Sections 25 and 26 of RA 10742 and its IRR, especially on the appointment or designation of Local Youth Development Officer.
