i. This Article discusses personality traits and how personality traits distinguish
one person from another in their variation of response to the environment. As
well as discussing why neuroticism is important to public health. Clarifying what
neuroticism is and how it correlates with a variety of mental and physical health
problems. Neuroticism could also be viewed as a heterogeneous trait that
consists of multiple negative emotions. Neuroticism can often be referred to as
negative emotions and is also known in the sense of maintaining rank-order as it
increases with age. Neuroticism peak in late adolescence but, seem to be higher
in males especially those with lower socioeconomic.

i. Aging American Prisons discusses how the growing elderly inmate population
has increased questions about the impact of incarceration on health. As well as
the cost for the all of the medical needs for older prisoners. The study is to
investigate the causes of “graying” in American prisons and its affect it could
have on the community’s health. The study consisted of using the National
Corrections Reporting Program data from 1990 to 2009. Comparing the age at
admission, average length of stay, and the proportion of “released” inmates
who died in prison as an indicator of correctional health. The results suggested
that the incarceration of a growing number of elderly prisoners, coupled with
the harmful effects of lengthy prison stays, may have a notable impact on the
health of both the correctional systems and in the communities that most will
return to.
