This article is informing us about adolescents use and abuse of alcohol and illicit drugs in United States.
A cross-sectional survey was given to adolescents ages 13 to 18 years old, asking them about their
experience with alcohol and illicit drugs. From the survey they were able to identify age, sex, and
race/ethnicity from the survey takers. Results giving the median age of 14 years old for alcohol abuse
and drug abuse. The Article determined that alcohol and drug use is common in the United States and
specifically in adolescent ages.
