5.0 METHOD STATEMENT

1. Excavation shall be carried out using hydraulic excavators.

2. Excavation shall be carried out in such a way as to facilitate the shedding of
surface and groundwater off the cutting area to low points.
3. Formation trimming will be achieved by the combined use of bulldozer and motor
grader until the desired level.
4. Materials shall be placed in specified thickness and compacted by roller
compactor in a manner predetermined in the earlier trial compaction test.
5. Levelling generally be done by bulldozer.
6. Compliance testing of compacted backfill shall be carried out in accordance to the
consultant instruction.
