TOKEN

It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving – Mother
Teresa.
To our dear parents, the tokens of your children may not be expensive, but it
speaks of their love and deep appreciation for everything you have given
them. The tokens can’t even repay your hardships just to send your children
to school. But in spite all these, your children sometimes fail to acknowledge
you. The tokens therefore my dear parents will tell you that your children are
truly grateful for having you.
And to our graduating class I believe that there’s a true feeling of self-
gratification in handing the tokens to your parents. It can’t be measured by
monetary value. The smile, the happiness that you see on their faces bring a
more self-fulfilling experience that for sure will last for a lifetime.
So to our dear parents, mga minamahal naming mga magulang, y ayayatan
mi na nagana… no matter how your children call you, may the tokens let you
feel their love and appreciation.
CLOSING REMARKS
To close a program like this is indeed a challenging task for me because in all
the programs I have attended, I observe that closing remarks are commonly
taken for granted as the audience disperse.
Dear graduates, growing up is a lifetime process. It is not something to do
until you are 21 and then stop. It is something that you do with your parents,
your parents who are always with you no matter what happens, your parents
who always know the best for you.
As you grow wiser, you may know most of the questions, but you’ll never have
all the answers. Still, your parents will never abandon you.
As you discover your light, bim it on others. Share what you learn so that
others might profit from you lessons. They probably won’t listen but that
should not stop you from trying. This will make your parents very proud of
you.
To end, allow me to thank you beloved parents for choosing and trusting us.
Congratulations on your brand new lives, graduates and congratulations for
a job well done, parents! Magandang gabi sa inyong lahat.
Ang gabing ito ay sadyang makasaysayan para sa ating lahat. Aming
natunghayan ang lubos na kagalakan ng ating mga minamahal na
magulang dahil sa wakas magtatapos na rin ang kanilang mga anak sa
kolehiyo. Tunay ngang napakabilis ng panahon, kung kayat dapat nating
bigyang halaga ang bawat oras na kapiling natin ang ating mga mahal sa
buhay.
Para sa mga magtatapos sa taong ito nawa’y ipagpatuloy natin na
ipamalas ang lubos nating pagmamahal at pasasalamat sa ating mga
magulang. Para sa mga guro, salamat sa inyong pagaaruga at paghubog
sa mga magtatapos upang sila’y maging handa sa hamon ng buhay may
trabaho.
Sadya ngang napakabilis ng ating pagpupugay para sa ating mga
magulang sa gabing ito, subalit nawa’y ipamalas nito na ang bawat araw
ay napakagandang biyaya ng poong may kapal. Muli kinagagalak namin
na kayo’y makapiling at maligayang pagbati sa inyong pagtatapos.
