Millennium Dome Raid in 2000

I will talk about the Millennium Dome Raid in 2000. Millennium Dome Raid

happened was attempted robbery of Millennium Dome Raid De Beers diamond exhibition in

Greenwich, South East of London on 7 November 2000. There were 5 gangs that caught by

an armed police when they were going to South East of London because they stole 200

million pound diamond. The guilty men were Aldo Ciarrocchi, William Cockram, London

Raymond Betson, Kent Robert Adams, Kevin Meredith.

The 5 gangs had a smoke grand, nail gun and ammonia... to attempt to the Dome they

broke the roof of Dome middle of the midnight. So the 5 gangs killed security that duty in

midnight. After they got into the Dome they found the De Beers diamond in the bullet proof

glasses then they used ammonia to freeze the glass then they used hammer to break the glass

then they emergency bell started to ring, it sent the message right to the local police station in

South East London. When the police arrived, 5 gangs already drove their car to escape the

South East London, however police was so smart that 5 gangs couldn’t escape because police

predicted and they blocked the streets. Robbery’s car was perfectly arrested by police so they

had to get out of their car and rise their hand and knee down, police started to search their

body to take all their weapons out and search their car to take the De Beers diamond.

In the court, the judges gave them their each of guilty so Betson and Cockram were

jailed for 18 years each. Adams and Ciarrocchi got 15 years each. Meredith was jailed for

five years. Betson and Cockram jailed for 18 years because they killed security guards and

harm the environment and they tried to kill the police and lied to them. Adams and Ciarrocchi

got 15 years because they killed 2 police officers and Meredith didn’t kill any of them and he

helped his gang member to escape the city. Also they had reasons to rob the diamond. They

were working in the small factory and they all had a lovely family but they were so poor that

they couldn't afford their family. So they decided to rob the Millennium Dome Raid because
the diamond cost 200 millions and that price can make their family happy. Unlucky, they got

arrested by the police and they had to live prison life and they couldn’t meet their family too.

I do feel really sorry for them because they tried to help out their family to feed them,

make them happy that they had to rob the diamond. Eventhrough, they were working in the

small factory it didn’t help them at all because their salary was so little per months. Causes of

the world that there are criminals, robbery, killers, beggar, millionaire or billionaire… the life

is unfair for everyone. Even they are rich, they have so many things to worry about for

example they are so rich that a lot of criminals wanted kill them to take their money, and

criminals wanted to help out their family (most likely) or money because they don’t have a

job and not enough money to feed them so that they have to kill people to get money. I would

help them if I was billionaire even im not I would still want to help them to decrease the

criminals, I would give them amount of money that could help their life out and find them a

job that suitable to each of those 5 gangs. And I would say to them that “life is unfair and

don’t care about rich and poor just care about your life even it’s hard for you, just because of

no money and kill people are wrong, you have to think about your family too. And just keep

try hard then there will be bright thing will happen to you”.
