Procedure to setup PLC and HMI using CX-One

This procedure describes how to download settings to the PLC using CX-Integrator.
It also explains how to download a NS HMI project trough the PLC to the NS terminal.
For this we use Ethernet connection from computer to PLC.
In the CX-Integrator project files we configured an IP address 10.0.0.4 for the PLC.
Please take necessary steps to allow you computer to be able to connect to the PLC using this IP address or
change the IP address in the project files.

In this procedure we download settings with a serial cable to the PLC, but of course it is also possible to
use only an Ethernet cable to start setting up the PLC. For this you can use the default factory IP address in
the Ethernet unit: 192.168.250.x, where x is the node number set by the rotary switches on the Ethernet
unit.
Notice that the node number is set in hexadecimal number.

Connect cables

After unpacking your products perform the following steps:

1. Connect 24V power supply to PLC and to HMI.

2. Connect serial programming cable (XW2Z-S002) to PLC and your computer.
3. Later connect serial HMI cable (XW2Z-200T) to Port A on NS and to the PLC serial port.
4. Connect Ethernet cross-cable to PLC and your computer.
5. Set node address on Ethernet unit other than 0.
6. Set dip-switch 5 to On to use default communication settings for the compter to connect to CPU.
