Volgrim wants to attack the Beastman bull.

You all take up a defensive stance as the raging beast man rounds the corner. His
charge comes to a premature end as he comes to a stop at the sight of small army on
the wall. He turns around in anger an let's out a low howl and moves back into the
tower. You hear a metal door open and those closest to the courtyard see 5 beastmen
pile out the ground level of the tower. They make it about a quarter of the way to the
gatehouse. The now visible, 7ft tall, half man, half bull beast now stands in front of the
door.

Nostrils flaring and ax at the ready. His breaths coming out in sticcatoed heaves.

across the courtyard to the gatehouse.

How much room is there inside the tower?

When alwin looked he noticed there was only a narrow walkway on the perimeter of the
top of the tower. The walkway kind of circles around the inside of the Tower and leads
to a staircase that goes down to the ground level
There's more room in the gate house

The exit of the Gatehouse can only fit about one person but there are windows on the
Gatehouse that my provide some Beast opportunities to attack.
The tower door is a lot narrower but there's less room inside the top walkway of the
tower than the wall you're on right now
If you're very quick, like your initiative is more than the monsters. You probably could
make it inside the gate house all the way to the door where the stairs are

Okay, as you peek around the corner you notice the Beast Men start to slow their Pace a
bit as if they're a little spooked. They all stopped on the wall staring at what looks like
the Fallen bull man. As quickly as they came up they turn around and run away, making
distress noises like a hurt dog or a scared bird.

For the members of the party still in the tower you get a clear view of the ground floor.
Strewn around the floor is a mixture of man and Beast flesh. First in all different states of
decay and a smell that brings up the bile to the back of your throat.
You also now noticed some chain hanging from the ceiling with what looks to be two
villagers attach to the ends.

Okay. As you move down to the ground level the stink of Rotting Flesh becomes almost
too much. However, you notice that there are some coins littered about the room. You
see that it is easy to reach the villagers from the ground level.

Wide stone steps descend into a long hall. The walls are decorated with elaborate tile
mosaics depict- ing foul ceremonies to horrific and baleful fiends. The walls are slick
with condensation and black algae. The condensation runs in rivu- lets and collects in a
long, brackish pool set in the center of the hall.

You walk over to the pool and look around. Its inky waters sit camly, seeming untouched
for years. Mold grows around the edges of the pool and slime covers parts of the water
in patches.

looks like it can be rotated.

Alright, as you all slide into the now empty pool, the ground is slick, but you quickly find
your footing and move over to the drain. One by one you maneuver down the pipe into
the small chamber below.

As you all enter, the light shows an inky cave that is nearly sub- merged with water, the
slick ceiling dripping with black algae. Sta- lactites hang to the dark water’s surface,
obscuring the far side of the cavern. Half-submerged along the banks of the pool, skulls
leer at you through empty eye sockets. The chamber is as still as a tomb, save for the
slow drip of water and slime from above.

Koran sees a shiny object on the side of the cave and upon further inspection finds a
iron ring with 3 rubies set in it. As you look at the ring the rubies seem to pulsate a red
light.

All of the bones are very weathered, like they have been there for hundreds of years.

You look around the cave and notice a wide opening past the stalagmites.
You could also try to climb back out the pipe. But it looks difficult.

As your party emerges from the small cave, you see out into a wide cavern that stretches
hundreds of feet. To your left, a staircase leads back to what you assume would be the
great hall. The stairs descend into a sandy beach. In front of you, there is a rock slope
that leads down to the same dark-sand beach of a vast underground sea. Far out across
the water, you can make out a golden glow through the gloom. An enormous rock
monolith stands at the water’s edge, dark waves lapping at its intricately carved faces.

Past the towering standing stone, a dragon-prowed longship emerges from the
darkness, its hull scrawled with forbidding sigils and runes that glow a sickly green in the
dim light. The ship draws to a stop some 50 feet offshore. The beat of distant drums and
far-off wails of terror mixes with the quiet lapping of the waves.

massive stone.

Chaos drawings and weird symbols cover the almost 60 foot wide stone. There is a
narrow stairway that leads to the top of the stone that ascends almost 200ft up.

The boat is 50 feet out from the beach in the water.
As you travel back and forth across the beach you notice the sand is quite disturbed in
one area. The loose sand leads to footprints in the more solid area of the beach where
the water meets the sand.
The foot prints seem to disappear all of the sudden as if the people who left them flew
away.

But you also notice a large groove left in the sand as if a boat had recently come ashore.

Thaedrin greets his brother happy to see him among the living but at sight of the
missing foorprints he looks above to the cieling thinking there be some flying beast

You can see that the boat could be scaled easily from the water. Right now you know
that a boat has been here recently, but the dragon boat is currently 50 feet out in high
water.
The only other thing of interest on the beach is the monolith which has narrow stairs
that spiral to the top.

The drums sound very faint and are coming from the yellow glow on the other side of
the sea.

OK you work your way to the top and try not to look down as the height is dizzying.
When you make it to the top you find a small platform. The platform has a stone bowl in
the middle that sits on an altar. As you move toward the altar you notice the bowl is full
of hardened wax, and there sits a half burned red candle in the middle.

You light the candle and nothing happend. Then after a few seconds you notice the ship
coming into shore.

You stare and watch as the ship comes to rest on the beach.

You rush down the monolith and climb aboard the ship. You find oars and a ornamental
hook that juts out at the front of the ship.

Chris's characters grab some oars and sit down ready to row. you need four more
characters to move the boat

Four more sit down and you all dip your oars in the water and begin the move toward
the light. As the island draws closer, revealing the source of the golden glow: a towering
ziggurat, with burning light radiating from within the sliver-thin cracks between its
massive stone blocks.

As you continue to row through this underground sea the sight of the zaggrut fills you
with awes. As Chris and Ians charcters turn to talk to one another about the sight,
something catches their eyes. A bump on the railing of the boat. As you stare wondering
if you saw that before you got on, it slowly slinks onto the deck.

You see the large suction cups of a tentacled arm slide its way toward your group.

Two massive tree trunk sized tentcales shoot up out of the water on either side of the
boat and come crashing down on the stern, seizing the boat in place. Three other
tentecales come up and attack Volgrim, Koran, and Odin.

crowd the ramp, howling to the darkness, hammering on massive hide drums and
pushing a terrified string of prisoners to the ziggurat’s glowing peak. High atop the
temple, you can make out a fearsome silhouette of an enormous armored figure,
wreathed in infernal smoke lit from below.
