Inspired Teacher
5 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR TEACHING

1.) ACT ETHICALLY

An Inspired Teacher follows the Code of Ethics

established by the Association of American

Educators to ensure that all students are treated

fairly, justly, and respectfully.

2.) RECOGNIZE BIAS

An Inspired Teacher recognizes his or her own

implicit and explicit biases and understands how

these biases may positively or negatively affect the

classroom.

3.) KNOW THE SUBJECT

An Inspired Teacher understands the subject

thoroughly and plans, designs, and implements

instruction to meet the learning goals of the

students.

4.) CELEBRATE DIVERSITY

An Inspired Teacher attempts to understand and

respect the diverse cultures and traditions

represented in his or her classroom and

community.

5.) STRIVE FOR GROWTH

An Inspired Teacher reflects on his or her teaching

practice to improve student learning and

establishes professional learning goals to improve

his or her practice.

6. ) CREATE THE SPACE


An Inspired Teacher creates learning environments

that promote and foster safety, inclusivity, exploration,

positivity, diversity, collaboration, and support.
