Farangipet
Church of St. Francis of Assisi (Portuguese: Igreja de São Francisco de Assis) is a Roman Catholic Church
situated at Farangipet in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, India.[1] It was built by the Portuguese in
1568 and was then part of the erstwhile South Canara district. It received mention by the Italian traveller
Pietro Della Valle, who visited Mangalore in 1623.[2]
