Creative Tantra Empowerment

In India as the native gods of the forest, harvest and

weather began to be replaced by gods of war and beauty
and learning, older men retired to the jungle to ponder
the riddle of life.

They learned to breathe in new ways, and to see with

their mind a flow of light that accompanied that
breath. Channels seemed to be carrying this energy, or
prana, as they called it, to vital organs.

The energy seemed to move the fingers of the old men. A

finger could bind or release the energy of fire, water,
air and earth. At least within you.

Sounds bubbled from their mouths and the vibrations

sang to the inner energy. Pictures were drawn on the
dirt and sacred space was formed. Gods and goddesses
were called - not as rulers, but as friends. As
teachers who also were on the path to self realization.

This empowerment is going to teach you a simple do-it-

yourself but genuine tantric method. Look at the
pictures and then read the explanations below them.

This is a very easy picture on the dirt, and it shows

the yellow of the spiritual element of earth, and then
the red of fire, the blue of water, and the green of
air. And at last the white of spirit space.

Let your eyes glide in to the center, and imagine each

element welcoming you and relaxing you. There are five
powerful Buddhas who enjoy these colors and their
energy is supporting you.

Formed from the same picture through computer magic,

this shows the double-square of the Mother Goddess of
India. She has circles of green for leafy living
things, and blue for wisdom. Four gates bulge on the
edges of the square around her, to allow you in and out
from her presence. She will protect you.

Go deeper. Go down into the dark mystery. Relax and let

yourself be the goddess or angel helper as you prefer.
She is Wisdom and this is her Well of Knowledge...
Or is it? Some say when you look into the Abyss, it
looks back at you! Be brave and keep searching...

Something begins to form, almost like a blue dragon. Or

a wheel of light.
You feel how bright this energy is! Whatever it is, it
is yours. You have this within you. It is your true and
pure Self. Everything in the universe is fine, is
peaceful here. Breathe for a while... Try humming a
simple word such as "OM" or "HUM". Let your fingers
make shapes by themselves.

Now what? These seem to be channels in your own body,

seen from above. The middle red one runs along your
spine. The green ones seem to weave along it. Their
energy is not the same. One seems cooler, one seems
warmer. Like the moon and sun. You can touch them with
your mind, it seems. Your energy is happy and purring
down in your belly area.
As your energy helps your aura glow, odd creatures are
attracted to you. Some look like lions or dragons or
other fierce beasts. Just relax and laugh and enjoy
them! They are your own instinctive protectors. You see
them in primitive forms but you sense they are alive
and alert. They are part of your own strength.

Call your energy from your belly and let it flow down
your arms and out your hands, outward in waves of peace
and joy. The universe is dancing. Let its light flow in
and out. It is grateful for your awareness and help.
Take some deep breaths and open your ordinary senses
and come back to regular reality. You have just done a
very tantric meditation. You relaxed. You allowed
yourself to encounter a helpful goddess or god of
positive qualities. You opened and explored your inner
energy channels. You were brave facing the scary
illusions. And you were generous with your transmuted
energy and gave it away as peace and joy.

Tantric teachers believe the nature spirits, fairies as

they are called in the West, admire these efforts and
help meditators to gain clarity and strength. In India
they are called dakinis. The goddess is called a yidam,
or personally visualized protector. The scary animals
are dharmapalas. The hummed sounds are mantras and the
finger gestures are mudras.

Now draw the three Reiki symbols of Chokurei, Seiheiki,

and Daikomyo upon your heart and breathe in their
strength, compassion and wisdom. This is a good way to
end the exercise. It mingles Reiki and Tibetan or Hindu
tantra in a genuine manner. This is true Tibetan Reiki.

Enjoy!
