CPU-1 has 4 dip switches. It supports up to 120 ports only. When using CPU 1, there is no

need of inserting extra tone card as CPU 1 has in-built tone card.

Extreme right slot No.9 for Tone card which is kept blank as CPU-1 has in-built tone card.

Second from right CPU-1 (Jack is different from others) which has no slot number.

FOR MAKING FACTORY DEFAULT OF CPU-1:-

Insert all the required cards in the cabinet as per the above block diagram and put all the

dip switches of CPU-1 to OFF position. Then turn- On the system. After few seconds LEDs

in the cards starts rapid blinking which means the cards have been accepted by the CPU

and slot numbers have been identified. Now, put the 1st dip switch to “OFF” position (OFF

means – office mode) and put 2nd,3rd and 4th dip switches to ON position. It is necessary

for carrying out programming and retaining the programmed features. Otherwise while

attempting to carryout programming “locked” displays. CPU-1 has in-built tone card. So no

extra tone card is needed. CPU-1 accepts only KTS programming.

By the above procedure, DEC original numbers starts from 200 to 207, EC original number

starts from 208 onwards and PC from 700 to 707.

TO ADD CARD IN THE RUNNING SYSTEM:-

Switch off the system.

Ensure position of dip switch 1 - OFF, 2nd,3rd and 4th dip switches to ON position to save
the previous programmed features.

Insert the new card which is needed to be added.

Put 4th dip switch to OFF position and switch ON the system.

Now the system restarts and LED of the newly inserted card starts to blink rapidly. By
this procedure, the newly inserted card have been accepted by the CPU. Since dip
switches 2 and 3 are kept in ON position previously programmed flexible numbers will be
kept intact. While putting dip switch 4 in OFF condition will reload all the cards, clear all
the DSS key settings, clear auto redial, function keys (KTS & DSS) will be set to default &
reception line will be re-defined. Again to further carryout programming of newly inserted
card put the 4th dip sw to ON position.

INSTALLATION OF THE SYSTEM:-

To install the System, a general procedure has to be followed. The PSU Card occupies 1st
Slot (from the left) in the ADX-600 System.
There is an exclusive slot to accommodate the CPU Card. The CPU Card occupies the 2nd
slot (from the right in the 40 port & 72 port system and the 9th slot (from the right) in
the 120 Ports System. The installation of the line cards will be start from the right side
towards the left. The order of insertion is as follows:
1. DEC Card
2. EC Card
3. PC Card
4. DTM Card

In DEC, only KTS (digital phone) can work. Normal analog phone do not works. In DEC there
is PTC (yellow colour) which works as fuse. DEC has four physical ports (on paper it has 8
ports). If one port becomes defective, can use another port.

In long distance extensions, if CLI do not works properly change the jumper to 48 V in the
corresponding EC card.
DTM provides caller ID to the system.

PSU having shielded cover (like at B/1 sig) produces 48 V DC, 28 V DC and ringer voltage
of 75 V AC. Working of these three voltages are indicated by three LEDs. Battery
charging voltage is 27.5 V DC having current capacity 700 mA. AC main fuse 2 Amp and DC
fuse 5 Amp. PSU can work for AC range from 150 to 250 V AC.
