Dear Admission Committee

Please allow me to offer my highest recommendation to Jessica DeChristopher for a space in your PPS
credential program. Jessica has worked as a Behavioral Health Specialist, a Clinician and a Lead I
Clinician at Oakgrove Center’s Wraparound program for the last four years. Oak Grove Center is a
nonprofit residential, educational and treatment Center for children throughout California with
psychological, emotional and behavioral problems as well as special needs. Jessica currently works for the
Community Based Services Department and provides therapeutic services out in the community
throughout Riverside County.

Over the last four years, I have observed Jessica in a variety of situations, and she has proven to be a
dedicated, knowledgeable and reliable asset to our department. She goes above and beyond her duties and
works well with the youth, families, and staff. Jessica possesses great leadership skills, but she also has
the ability to follow directions accurately and see a task through to the end. She knows how to strike a
balance between asking for clarification and feedback when needed, and being proactive, based on her
own judgment. In other words, I do not have to micromanage or concern myself with whether or not
details are being attended to. Having supervised many Clinicians over the years, this facility is rare,
indeed.

Jessica has a wonderful manner with the youth she serves. She assesses their needs, tailors her
interventions to those needs, and delivers those interventions clearly and concisely. She is a sensitive and
conscientious Clinician who is flexible, and strives for excellence. She is also a skilled multi-tasker. As
our department has changed due to program/contract shifts, we have asked Jessica to take on additional
tasks in various contracts to help smooth a rocky transition. She has handled every addition with aplomb.
Jessica has learned myriad policy and procedure changes as the department shifted, quickly developing a
rapport with new staff, and helping to train new Clinicians. Jessica is easy-going and has no trouble
staying focused on what needs to be done, even under compromised circumstances. These are all great
qualities and skills that would make her a great asset to any school program (as a student) and any school
campus (as a clinical staff).

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further question. It is my sincerest hope that Jessica
will find a place at Brandman University. She will be an incredible asset to any educational program and a
wonderful addition to any school’s team.

Best Regards,

David Gonzalez
