    ACTION: LAMINATE & POST

    PROCEDURE FOR RUNNING EMERGENCY STEERING GEAR

    1. Test the communication with bridge from steering room.


    2. On Bridge
    - Shift the Steering to poison “Desk” or “Starboard Wing” or “Port
    Wing” (Non – Follow Up Position)
    - Auto Pilot Unit; switch over to “Unit No 2”
    - Steering Gear; switch over to “Unit No 2”
    3. Steering Gear Room
    - Shift the red coloured pin from the “Normal Position” to
    “Emergency Position”
    - Operate by the red coloured “Trick Wheel” in the required
    direction

    No # 2 Steering Gear (port) is supplied with emergency power


    from the emergency generator.
