Lesson 5

Page 52

What I like to do in my life is to be an "actor" in the cinema. In the

Philippines, the actors are called the "artists" of the cinema and they are
very famous, well-known and rich, that is, they have much more money than the
other professions. My dad is a merchant and my mom is a secretary of a local
insurance company. My dad always travels and is not always in our house. My
mother works every day in the office: she writes on the computer, she calls by
phone often, receives calls from outside, writes messages from the director,
always deals with the important papers of the company, and sometimes, she
prepares the coffee for the director and important members of the company
especially when there is a special meeting.

I do not like being a trader or a secretary. I prefer to work as an actor. I

can visit interesting places during the movie making period. I can play the
role of an interesting "character". My name will always appear in newspapers or
local magazines. I will receive a good salary better than a salary from a
secretary. I do not like to work as a merchant because I do not like to always
count "money." It's a shame that as an actor, I may not have enough hours to
sleep at night. Being an actor is just a dream (a dream) for me but who knows
what will happen to me in the future. What will be will be!

the seasons of the year

In countries where it is cold, there are always four seasons of the year:
autumn, winter, spring and summer. in the philippines, there are only two
seasons of the year: the dry season and the wet season or as they said before
"six months of mud and six months of dust"

the dry season corresponds to the summer. The wet season is when it always
rains and there is a presence of strong typhoons. During the summer in the
Philippines, it can be said that the weather is fine because it is always
sunny, although it is very hot in the months of March, April and May until
August. Summer is more favorable to children to spend the holidays in March
and April when there are no classes. There are many parties that are
celebrated everywhere in the Philippines. It's worse when classes start in
June: it's the coming of typhoons and it rains until August or September. the
weather or climate changes from December to February. in December, the air is
fresh and pleasant.

in the united states the four seasons of the year are autumn, winter, spring
and summer. There are four months of autumn and they are September, October
and November. the winter begins in December until February. The months of
spring are March, April and May. Summer is June, July and August. During the
winter, when it is so cold, there is snow in all parts of the country. In
autumn it is always windy and the leaves of the trees fall to the ground.
Autumn is very beautiful: they change the colors of the leaves of the trees.
the colors are golden, orange, yellow, and sometimes very red. there is a
state called "colorado" because of the presence of very beautiful trees in
the fall. in December, Christmas is celebrated and it is very cold. children
play outside the house and make a "sonwman". Children also skate on ice.
People are put on jackets, gloves, heavy coats and boots when it is very
cold.
Spring is a season of the month of the year during March, April and May. It
rains often and the trees start to have leaves and flowers. In the summer,
everything can be done. Many people spend the summer strengthen: they go to
the beach to swim; they travel or visit very interesting places; they go to
the park to play tennis or basketball; and they spend the holidays when there
are no summer classes. when it is very hot, they dress people very casually
with very comfortable shorts, hats and shirts.

the worst is that there are strong typhoons in the United States but they are
called "hurricanes". they are stronger when it passes with a lot of wind and
they can ruin a whole population with winds, destruction and flood. in some
places, there are floods like the "typhoon ondoy" of the philippines, that
happened in manila and marikina. nature is all powerful; You have to respect
it. nothing can be done when he comes. What is needed is to always wait for a
good time, with the help of our Lord.
