1. CIF
1.1 Create Retail CIF
For creation of retail customer, the user has to first login to the CRM module and in the
“Functions” tab, select “CIF Retail”. On expanding the “CIF Retail” folder, the sub functions get displayed as
below -

General Details
1. Login to finacle as Admin and select the function as CIF Retail ->New entity ->Customer.
2. The General details screen is displayed with Basic Info Tab.
3. Select the Gender from the drop down list.
4. Enter the First name, Middle name, Last Name. Last name is mandatory.
5. Enter theShort name and Preferred Name. These are mandatory fields.
6. Click the calendar to enter the Date of Birth.
7. Select the Minority Indicator as Yes or No.
8. Select the Non-resident indicator as Yes or No.
9. Select the Staff Indicator as Yes, No or Ex-Staff.
10. Select the Primary SOL ID from the searcher.
11. Select the Segment and Sub-segment from the searcher.
12. Select the Availed trade services as Yes or No.
13. Select the region from the searcher.
14. Select the Tax deducted at source from the searcher.
15. Purge allowed is auto selected as No.
16. Select the preferred locale from the searcher.
17. Select the enable e-banking as Yes or No.
18. Select the Native language code from the drop down list.
19. Select the preferred native language from the searcher.

20. Under Address, select the preferred address type from the drop down list.
21. To add address details click on Add Address details.
22. Under Phone and E-mail, Select the Preferred Contact No. Type from the drop down list.
23. Select the preferred E-mail ID from the drop down list.
24. Click on Add phone and E-mail to add the Preferred phone and email with details.
25. Click Save.
26. Click Submit.
Identification Document details
27. Click on Add identification document details.
28. Enter the details such as Document type, Document Code, Place of issue, Country of Issue, Issue
date, Unique ID.
29. Click Save.
Currency
30. Click on Add CCY to add a Currency from the searcher.
31. Click Save.
32. Click Submit.
33. The Customer QDE is submitted successfully. CIF is generated.
34. Click Ok after taking note of the CIF.

Use this screen to type certain conditions and enable the system to search, view and edit customer, prospect,
contact, or non-customer records. The search entity screen lists the entity details which can be edited. The
General, Demographic, Psychographic and other details can be edited using this menu.
CRMFUNCTIONS CIF RETAIL EDIT ENTITY
1. Navigate to Edit Entity and select the Entity type and enter the CIF ID for modification.
2. Click Submit.
3. The search results are displayed.
4. Right click the CIF IDand select the Edit option.
5. Select the details to be modified.
Note: A Supervisor needs to verify the record submitted for modification.
A corporate CIF entity who maintains an account with the bank as a main account holder is referred to as
corporate customer. For example, a corporate CIF ID maintains current or overdraft account in the name of
the business establishment in Core system. Every corporate customer of the bank is identified with an unique
identifier referred to as CIF ID. The CIF ID is maintained by the bank not withstanding cessation of customer
relationship with the bank, that is, the customer, if reinstated, can continue with the same CIF ID.
General Details
1. Login to finacle as Admin and select the function as CIF Corporate->New entity ->Customer.
2. The General details screen is displayed with Basic Info Tab.
3. Enter the Corporate Name.
4. Enter the Short name.
5. Click the calendar to enter the Relationship Start Date.
6. Select the Assigned Priority from the drop down list.
7. Select the Legal Entity type from the drop down list.
8. Enter the Key Contact Person’s name.

2. Select A -Add from the Function drop-down list.
3. Enter the CIF ID created.
4. Click Go.
5. In the General details tab, select the Allow Sweeps as Yes or No.
6. Select Combined Statement as Yes or No.
7. Select the Frequency of Statement to be generated.
8. Set the Payment Order STP Amt. Ceiling.
9. Click Ok.
Note: A Supervisor needs to verify the record submitted for CIF addition into Core.

2. CASA
2.1 Account opening – Savings account
For customer account opening, the account holder/customer must have a CIF ID. All the general
information related to the customer is captured as a part of CIF ID creation. This reduces the repetitive
entry of information to be given while opening multiple accounts for the same customer. All the
information that are common to all the accounts of a customer is captured at CIF creation level and same
is default populated at account level during opening of a new account for the customer.
1. Enter HOAACSB in the Menu Shortcut field to display the A/c. Opening –Savings screen.
2. Function: Function is Open which is auto selected.
3. CIF ID :Enter the details in the CIF ID
4. SOL ID : SOL IDis defaulted as home SOL of user
5. CCY : CCY (currency code) is defaulted as INR
6. Scheme Code:Enter the Scheme Codeor search from searcher list.
7. Click Go.
8. Click the various tabs and enter the details in the mandatory fields of the tabs.
General details ,Interest details, Scheme details, Related party details is to be mandatorily
entered/should be visited while account opening.
Nomination details tab is mandatory in case of nomination flag is Y at Scheme tab.
Payment System tab is mandatory when interest Credit A/c is selected as Payment System
(In case of FDR).
Optional tabs:
1. MIS codes: It can be entered while account opening for capturing various MIS related
fields.The entry of appropriate codes is useful for generating various MIS reports.
2. Document codes: It can be captured in the Document details tab.
3. FFD parameter: It is visited/entered when customer is giving instruction for opening of FFD
from the excess funds available in the savings account.
4. Other Details :- this is visited when customer is opting for SWIFT statement
5. Account Limits :- It is needed in case of overdraft /cash credit account

4. Select the Acknowledgement obtainedas Yes or No.

6. Enter the Begin Cheque Alpha/From No. and the To End Cheque Alpha/ Srl. No.
7. Click Go.
8. View the details and click the Submit button.
Note: A Supervisor needs to verify the Issuance of Cheque book.
Note: HICHB is used when inventory is maintained in Finacle.

6. Enter thepayee, cheque date and amount details. This is not mandatory.
7. Click on Fee Tab to view the stop payment charges.
8. Click on Submit.
Note: A Supervisor needs to verify the record submitted for Stop payment before verification.

screen.
2. Select V - Verify from the Function drop-down list.
3. Type the Account ID or click the searcher to fetch details.
4. Click Go.

Note: A Supervisor needs to verify the record submitted for Revoke Stop payment before verification.
1. Enter HALM in the Menu Shortcut field to display the A/c Lien Maintenance screen.
2. Select A - Add from the Function drop-down list.
3. Enter the Account ID on which the Lien is to be marked.
4. The Module type is auto selected as U – User defined.
5. Click Go.
6. Enter the New Lien amount.
7. Select the effective date as BOD date.
8. Select the Lien reason from the searcher.
9. Click Submitto complete the process of marking a lien.
10. Multiple lien can be added .Click Add button to add another lien and enter the details as discussed
from step 6 to step 8.
Note:A Supervisor needs to verify the record submitted for Lien marking before verification.
Note: User can create liens of Module type ULIEN only. For user created liens, module ID column is not
enterable. Also, user can create liens for accounts belonging to scheme types SBA, CAA, CCA, ODA, BIA,
FBA & TDA.

2. Select V - Verify from the Function drop-down list.
3. Enter the Account ID on which the Lien is to be verified.
4. Click Go.
5. View the details to be verified.
6. Click Submit.

2. Select M - Modify from the Function drop-down list.
3. Enter the Account ID on which the Lien is to be modified.

5. Change the lien amount to zero in case lien is released fully..

Note: A Supervisor needs to verify the record submitted for Modification of Lien.
1. Enter HAFSM in the Menu Shortcut field to display the A/c. Freeze Status Maintenance screen.
2. Select F - Freeze from the Function drop-down list.
3. Enter the Account ID on which the Freeze is to be placed.
4. Select the Freeze Code as either Total Freeze, Credit only or Debit only.
5. Select the freeze reason code from the searcher. This is a mandatory field. Note: Multiple reason
codes can be added in case of freeze.
6. Click Go.
7. The A/c Freeze Status Maintenance screen is displayed.
8. Select the A/c ID on which the freeze is to be placed.
9. Click Submitto complete the process freezing an account.

1. Enter HAFSM in the Menu Shortcut field to display the A/c. Freeze Status Maintenance screen.
2. Select V – Verify from the Function drop-down list.

4. Click Go.
5. Check the details to be verified in the Maintenance screen.
6. Click Submit.

5. Enter the Period From and Period To.
6. Click Submit.
7. View the Statement print in the HPR menu option.

2. Enter the A/c. ID.
3. Click Print. The details of the passbook is displayed and ready to be printed.

2. Select Z – Close from the Function drop-down list.
3. Enter the A/c. ID.
4. Click on balance transfer.
5. Select the transaction type from the drop down list.

3. Signature Verification
3.1 Add signature and photograph
Signature and photograph can be added to an account or CIF.
Multiple signature and photograph can be captured for corporate account or joint account.
Signature and photograph can be updated with new signature and photograph.
1. Click the Signature and Photographs option to display Signatures and Photographs screen is
displayed.
2. Select the A-Add function from the drop-down list.
3. Type the account number for which you have to capture the signature.
4. Click Go.
5. Select the U-Upload from File function from the drop-down list.
6. Click Browse.
7. Select the relevant signature file placed in the desktop.
8. Click Open.
9. Click OK.
10. View the signature uploaded.
11. Click OK.
12. Select an appropriate image access code.
13. Type the effective date of the signature uploaded.
14. Type the signature expiry date.
15. Select the U-Upload from File option from the drop-down list.
16. Click Browse.
17. Select the relevant customer’s photograph file placed in desktop.
18. Click Open.
19. Click OK.
20. Type the effective date of the photograph.
21. Click Submit.

1. Click the Signature and Photographs option to display Signatures and Photographs screen is
displayed.
2. Select the V-Verify function from the drop-down list.
3. Type the account number for which you have to verify the signature.
4. Click Go.
5. The Verify Pending Signatures and Photographs screen is displayed.
6. Select the record to be verified.
7. Click Submit.

4. Click Go.
5. View the rule which needs to link to account.
6. View the Mandatory flag as yes for the signature which should be verified for this rule.
7. Click Submit.

4. Transactions
4.1 Create Cash transaction
1. Enter HCASHDEP the Menu Shortcut field to display the Cash Deposit screen.
2. Select A - Add from the Function drop-down list.
3. Select the Transaction Type/Sub-type.
4. Click Go.
5. Enter the A/c. ID.
6. Enter the Ref. CCY/Amount.
7. Enter the Transaction particulars.
8. Click on Save.
9. Note down the Transaction ID generated.
Note: Invoke HACLI and enter the A/c. ID. The above transaction is not seen as it has been saved and not
posted. The transaction status can be viewed in HFTI.
1. Enter HCASHDEP the Menu Shortcut field to display the Cash Deposit screen.
2. Select P - Post from the Function drop-down list.

5.1 Demand Draft Issuance
Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque is an instrument made out by the bank and delivered to the remitter of
funds (purchaser of the DD). The same must be presented by the beneficiary, to claim payment. The
paying/drawee branch must make sure that the DD is genuine, before paying the same. When a draft is
issued drafts account will be credited and the details of the details of the drafts issued register. Similarly,
the drafts paid will be entered in the drafts paid register and the amount is debited to the DD account.
1. Enter HDDMI in the Menu Shortcut field to display the Demand Draft Mass Issuescreen.
2. Select A-Add from the Function drop-down list.
3. Issue Date and Value Date are auto populated as Today’s date or system date.

6.1 Account opening – Term Deposit account
The Term deposit module of Finacle handles the time deposits. This module caters to different variants of
term deposits like Fixed Deposits, Cumulative deposits, Recurring deposits (RD), Certificate of Deposits
(CD), Notice Deposits (ND) and Flexi-Fixed deposits (FFD). The Scheme type for Term deposits is TDA.
For opening a Term Deposit account user should have the following information ready viz., CIF ID,
Scheme Code, Currency, SOL ID and the GL Subhead code. Some of this information is defaulted while
others need to be filled by the user. Funding of deposit can be done as part of account opening or later
after account opening.
Term Deposits can be of Interest Outflow (IO) type where the interest is paid out at regular intervals or of
Interest Inflow (II) type where the interest along with Principal will be paid only on maturity.

Limit Nodes enable users to monitor liability of a customer per credit facility. A credit facility can
be a revolving or non-revolving credit, term loans, committed facilities, letters of credit, etc.
A limit node can be a parent limit node or a child limit node. A child limit node derives its
drawing power from its parent limit node.
A Limit Node is identified by a unique Limit ID, which is composed of a Limit Prefix and Suffix
IDs. During limit creation, the suffix can be entered or selected from the available list while the
prefix is defined by user.
If the limit node being created is a child limit, then user has to indicate the Limit ID of the
parent limit from which it should derive its share.

currency.

The loan amount can be disbursed to one or multiple accounts. If the loan is disbursed to multiple accounts
and the accounts are in different currencies, then the loan can be disbursed in multiple currencies. If the
loan is disbursed in a different currency, the prevailing rate of exchange at the time of disbursement will be
applied.

Assessment is the process of calculating the fees or charges to be collected for a loan account whereas
Collection is the process of collecting the fee which have already been assessed. During collection,
transactions will be created towards fees collection.
Fees and charges can be assessed and collected using the HLAFACR menu option. The following functions
can be performed:
Assessment of Loan Fee: The fees and charges for the loan can be calculated using A-Fee
Assessment function.
Collection of Loan Fee: The fees and charges for the loan can be collected using C-Fee Collection
function.
Assessment and Collection of Loan Fee: The fees and charges for the loan account can be calculated
and collected using the B-Fee Assessment and Collection function. It is used when you want to
collect the fees and charges at the time of calculation only.
