(bpd)
Oct 97 The original well, UD-601, was drilled as per program as a highly deviated
(80°) development well. The drill string became differentially stuck while
circulating clean at TD in the 6”hole section and the drillpipe was left
stationary in the hole. In attempts to free the drillpipe the mudweight was
lowered and the hole packed off along the drillpipe, causing loss of circulation
and final wellbore collapse. The BHA was backed off mechanically and left in
the hole. The well was plugged back to 8522 ftahbdf and suspended on
December 14th 1997.
Nov 98 The well was sidetracked as a subhorizontal well of 82° inclination through the

Icotea and Misoa reservoirs. The hole collapsed and immediately (December
14th 1998), it was cleaned out and continued.
Dec 98 The well was completed as a commingled producer in the Icotea and Misoa
reservoirs with 41/2”Con Slot sandscreens and a 41/2” free jet pump
completion.
Dec 98 The well was hooked up on December 29 th 1998 with an initial rate of ± 1500
bbl/d. Although the well is completed commingled (Icotea and Misoa), the
principal contribution comes from the Misoa Formation according to
petrophysical parameters (~90%).
Jan 99 A PVT/PLT/Build Up program was planned, but since it was not possible to fish
the standing valve, the program was suspended.
Mar 99 The jet pump was changed.
May 00 The well was found recirculating power fluid. A slickline investigation was
carried out, in order to recover the jet pump (10c), repair it and re-install it. A
sandbailer clean out was also carried out recovering ~70 Kg of sand.
Jun 00 Another slickline investigation was done, because of the low well production.
The purpose was to check the jet pump condition and to eliminate the standing
valve (previously found full of sand). A 10c jet pump combination without cup
was installed.
Sep 00 Because of low well production, the jet pump (10c) was replaced.
Oct 00 After an MPP shutdown, the well was not receiving power fluid due to plugging
of the jet pump nozzle with sand. The jet pump was changed for a 10b
combination.
Feb 01 During the MPP shutdown, the first build up survey in this well was carried out.
After retrieving the sensors, a PVT sample was acquired. The idea was to collect
two samples as per standard procedures, but due to the well deviation, only one
chamber was able to pass, and therefore, only one fluid sample was collected.
The 550cc sample turned out to contain only about 5 cc of oil in emulsion with
water, so PVT analysis could not be performed. Water analysis of the water was
performed   instead.     The   pressure   survey   showed   that   only   some   300   psi   of
drawdown were being applied, which suggested that the jet pump was operating
inefficiently.
Apr 01 The jet pump was pulled out and checked (HUD @ 9437ft). It was found in
good conditions and was re-installed in the well (10b). Production remained
low, after this inspection. It was suspected that pump is oversized and/or we
were experiencing power fluid losses in the well.
May 01 The jet pump was recovered and replaced for an 11a combination. Mixture API
measurements after this were around 27°. On May 24 th 2001, pressure lost was
confirmed. The well was closed in and the jet pump recovered for revision.
Jun 01 A modified 11a jet pump KOBE 2 ½ ” (previous National 3”) was installed.
This pump has a standing valve incorporated. Mixture API measurements after
this were around 21.6°.
Dec 02 Due to PDVSA production restrictions, the well was closed in.
Jan 03 The well was opened back up.
