Work Experience

8. Worked as a Project /Shift Engineer with West Coast Paper Mills Ltd., Dandeli
from June 2008 to Till date.
Work Profile:

As a Project /Shift Engineer, I was responsible for maintaining the uptime working of the electrical
equipments required for the proper functioning of paper production machines and related
machineries.

In my job profile, I was interacting with the senior managers for understanding the requirements in
the electrical engineering division and manage the support staff for implementing these
requirements and maintain them.

In my tenure with West Coast Paper Mills Ltd., I have also been a part of the following projects.

9. Collaborated and worked with the VOITH India and Germany, for Installing,
Commissioning and Maintain the modules listed below for erecting a new paper process
machinery ( 500 ton per day production machine, 1200 MPM design speed)
•11KV switch gear (ABB HT panels with protection relays)
• Commissioning of Duo -bais, Argus 1,Neutral displacement relay, RHO3 Motor
protection relay
•Transformers
•Power Control Center (GE Make)
•Motor Control Systems (GE Make)
•Standalone Variable frequency Drives (ABB ACS 500, ACS 800)
•Siemens Multi Motor Drive

10. 11KV HT Panels – Control Loop checking for metering and protection
11. Loop checking of PCC’s control wiring
12. Loop checking of MCC I/O’s for testing the logic implemented by VOITH DCS.
13. Trial run of auxiliary equipments from MCC, which included Star-Delta Starter, Dual
Starter and stand-alone VFD’s (ABB make ACS550, ACS800) for pump & fan application.
14. Trial run and start up of Siemens MMD drives and VOITH re-winder
15. Erection, commissioning of 6.6KV HT panel/ motors for vacuum blower application of
MAN turbo.
16. Siemens make latest AC drives (SINAMICS S120) for paper machine sectional drives
Application and having common DC bus.
 9. Hands on experience on Siemens make PCS 7 software DCS platform
10. Involved in design and discussion of PCC, MCC panel (GE make)
11. Selection and approval of drawing and components for more than 300 motor’s in MCC.
12. Basic knowledge of Siemens make Tyristor controlled D.C drives 6RA70 (3KW-450KW).
13. Maintenance and trouble shooting of AC Squirrel cage, Slip ring Induction motor’s and also
electrically operated overhead traveling cranes and hoist (25 ton – 60 ton capacity)
14. Hands on experience in Power Plant process (Steam Turbine) and electrical maintaince.
