Speaking in public is not easy, except for one, whom are teacher introduce to us. Not

personally, but because by our lesson. Her name is Patricia Evangelista who emblematize

Philippines and bring halcyon to our homeland by public speech. She 19-yaer-old

student when she became the first Filipina who win the best speaker award in the

international public speaking competition. Although she feels little twitchy but she

maintained being in her own aplomb. In her speech she was sincere and she spoke

loudly and clear which audience definitely understand her. She didn’t rely on any notes

throughout her speech furthermore she speaks in fine and correct pronunciations and

complete statements. She maintained appropriate eye contact, sign of just being serious

on what she’s telling. Her speech was well organized and arrange, and its purpose was

clear by giving appropriate background on the topic. Which all about millions of Filipino

who scattered around the world with different reasons which is axiom. The speech was

audience appropriate by appreciating it. And most off all, in her speech she speaks

wholeheartedly. It shows there that she gives her best in delivering her speech. She

makes it very authentic, just like how she shows of how she is proud of being a Filipino.

She tells about the truth. She mentioned about borderless world which is true, it refers

to an open world that chances and opportunities are coming to way or path of everyone.

But what matter for me is what she states at the last which is leaving sometimes isn’t

matter of choice its coming back that is. That even we are in the foreign country we still

bethink and never obliterate our homeland.
