A. INTRODUCTION
Malunggay (Moringa oleifera), is a popular plant known for high nutritional value

as well as an herbal medicine. Malunggay is a plant that grows in the tropical climates

such as the Philippines, India and Africa. Malunggay is widely used as vegetable

ingredient in cooking, as herbal medicine for a number of illness and other practical

Moringa oleifera leaf extract is an organic technology which increases growth of

most vegetable and field crops. The tree is easy to propagate, and is fast to grow.

Moringa leaf extract is a technology which is cheap and environmentally safe to use. It

performs best when used in conjuction with synthetic fertilizers. Hence, it is very

important synergistic component and alternative to synthetic fertilizers for the rural poor.

As long as it is grown at household level, it is always available and accessible to the

As researchers, we came up with this study using Malunggay Leaves Extract as

a Liquid Fertilizer to the growth of Solanum lycopersicum (TOMATO) because we

wanted our farmers and citizens to improve their farming by organic technology which

the ingredients are cheap and accessible. We also wanted the people to fasten their
work and help the Government to increase the percentage growth in Agricultural

Aspect.

B. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

1.) Does Moringa oleifera (Malunggay) effective to decrease the number of pests

in the growth of Tomato Plant?

2.) Is there any significant difference between Moringa oleifera

(Malunggay)Liquid Fertilizer to Commercial Fertilizer?

3.) Is Malunggay leaves extract fertilizer be effective fertilizer in the growth of

Tomato Plant in terms of height?

C. HYPOTHESIS/ HYPHOTESES

NULL: 1.) Moringa oleifera (Malunggay) is not effective to decrease the number

of pests in the growth of Tomato Plant.

2.) There is no significant difference between (Malunggay) Leaves Extract

to Commercial Fertilizer.

3.) Moringa oleifera (Malunggay) extract fertilizer is not effective in growth

of Tomato Plant in terms of height.

Our Independent Variable (IV) is the Potential of Malunggay Leaves Extract as

Liquid Fertilizer which ensures the Morphological Growth of Tomato Plant. By selecting

and following correct proper time, procedures and ingredients. Also, by studying and

knowing facts and information. Our Intervening Variables are Height and Weight.

 By following Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) we are to reach our ideal

synthetic going fertilizer using phytochemicals from the Extract which can attain the

Development of Vegetation we are aiming. By following proper protocols and procedure

to reach positively our goal.

F. SCOPE AND DELIMITIATION

This study delimits only to know the potential of Moringa oleifera (Malunggay)

Leaves Extract as fertilizer that will affect the growth of Solanum lycopersicum

(TOMATO). In this study, the chemical analysis of Laboratory Result of the said

variable Malunggay. This study will be conducted at SPED Integrated School GSC for

the Academic Year 2018-2019.

G. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

1.) FARMERS. This study will help them by bringing/giving more profit to a farm

especially to farmers. It makes them also to work easier and faster than the usual.

2.) CONSUMERS. This study will help them to purchase and swallow vegetables

especially Tomato without using Commercial Fertilizer but by using Organic Fertilizer

which is more healthy and safe.

3.) AGRICULTURIST/ AGRONOMIST/ HORTICULTURIST. This study will help them to

be more productive and resourceful on having organic fertilizers on growing a Farmland.

4.) GOVERNMENT. This will help them to increase the Agricultural aspect of the said

area.
5.) OTHER RESEARCHERS. This will help them to be more curious about Research

and to be more adventurous in studying the Field of Science.

6.) RESEARCHERS. This study will help us to know more facts and information during

and after conducting this study. And if the study will be successful we are going to be

recognized and given the more opportunities in the future.
